Additional Comments: It was nice to see Doug and Julie. I had read on another site that they would be on the show in early July. Even though they were in the red, white and blue costume motifs, it was still good to see them. It was good to see them interact with Hope and Bo. I know that some posters were not fond of the costumes, but for some of us long-term viewers it was still good to have Doug and Julie back in Salem at least for a little while. The fact that the show was pre-empted Thursday and Friday made it even more touching to see Doug and Julie dressed up for the holiday, even though corny to some.
It was great seeing them... costume or no costume. The main inconsistancy was leaving the costumes on them despite the Salem heat wave. Didn't make much sense.

Message: I thought the costumes were really stupid at first until I took into consideration that we all wore red, white and blue where I work on Thursday. My only problem with their appearance is I wanted Doug to take baseball bat to Bo and tell him to keep Dr. Dan away from Chelsea. Pair him with Nicole, Chloe, Sami; ANYONE but not Chelsea. I wonder who'se bright idea that was to try to make them a couple 'cause it ain't working.

Message: ICAM! But they deserved better than the buffoonary we were subjected to. They need to be around more & be part of the community, rather than just 'stopping by for a visit' from time to time.
Last night I saw an old episode of Frasier w/BH (Doug) playing a retiring, local radio celebrity who's spot Frasier's show was taking over. Even in an old rerun, it was great seeing BH!

Message: I so agree. It is always great to see them. I wish they had more steady roles.
