I think that the other posters who think Marlena is going to take the piece of the disc and use it are right on the money. I also think it makes sense that Marlena will be forced to undo what she did to Stefano in return for getting back at least a bit of her OldJohn. I sincerely hope that we only get a sliver of her OldJohn; keep the wry, dry humor of NuJohn and his blunt manner of speaking but give him back the memories of OldJohn so he understands why Blondie is so frantic to make him remember. Give him back the OldJohn eyebrow lift and patented squinting even. If they write it correctly it could be really good of course to think that I have to suspend belief and try not to think about the current writers although at least is is no longer JERk. If JERk were still head writer Marlena would take the broken disc to a psychic who would look into her crystal ball and conjure up a demon who would restore the disc to wholenes with fire and zap it back into NuJohn's brain. I'm still waiting for the explanation for how Marlena's casket traveled through the center of the earth during the serial killer storyline and made its way to Melaswen.

I have two ideas on this:
1. Marlena will be able to pull enough data off the broken disk to trigger the rest of John's memories and/or
2. Marlena will make a deal with Rolf to bring Stephano out of his coma if Rolf help her with John

I don't know if there's duplicates of the disk, though I would guess there could be. However, given how pathetically bad the writing is on the show, I wouldn't be surprised if Marlena just took some Elmer's glue and glued the disk back together and it became good as new.

I figure that Marlena, Philip or the Chinese girl or all three made a copy of it. It is probably still in the hard drive or memory of the lab equipment. Stefano or Rolf probably made copies also.

My thoughts are that it is destroyed and Marlena will HAVE to bring Stef out of his coma in order to get old John back to what she wants. If they are bring JM back again, I can't think he will just wake up on his own. eom Ald
