I'm having a really hard time figuring out Lucas these days and where the writers are going with him. First, he risks everything just to take a stroll down the pier and then he does it again just to visit Chloe. As Bo and Hope both pointed out yesterday, that's not like Lucas. I won't even get into the whole thing with him sleeping with Chloe. So I figure that one of two things is going on here:

1. The writers have decided to make Lucas stupid, plain and simple. They are using lazy writing in order bring strife between Sami/Lucas/Ej and Chloe/Morgan/Phillip.

2. Lucas is up to something. He didn't seem upset at all that he was going back to prison. He was so matter of fact. It just doesn't add up.

I'm leaning more to option 2 as I am a long time fan of Lucas and am hoping that there is more to this story than his sheer stupidity!

What are your thoughts?

What really bugs me, is that, Lucas was gone for a couple of months, we got this big HYPE, he was going to come back as a, strong mature man, that is NOT what has happened, which it is very disappointing. Hopefully, he is "up to something" and we will see a good SL developing very soon........we can always hope!

This storytwist has its doubters, but I'd still like to believe that Lucas has been covering for Will the whole time.

Unfortunately, it may very well be that the writers are just trying to dumb his character down. They seem to specialize in that nowadays. Look how Sami during the "vendetta" and look how they've ruined the character of Chloe.
