Additional Comments: in ink on a family tree page. I was there....Hope was born on January 9, 1974. Now they're saying it was December 24, 1974. There's no reason to change the date. They say Hope and Beau married in 1985, so they aren't trying to rectify dates to ages in that case so why change her birthdate?

Message: Whatever the 'purpose', KC & Co. (bottom line) doesn't think that the audience will notice, or care about such changes. Does it make sense? ICAM, no it doesn't. However, a lot of KC's decisions over the last several yrs (actually, since he got creative control over 20 yrs ago) don't make sense.
Why are once intelligent characters so brain dead?! There is no purpose to that either.

Message: I don't understand that change in months either, but I thought that Hope's birthday was changed to December 29th. I remember the year that they got remarried around Christmas, that they then celebrated Hope's birthday on the Fancy Face II on December 29th. Either way, it doesn't make sense to change it from January to December. I thought that her original birthday was in 1968. I started watching DAYS in 1978 and remember that Hope was 10. Five years later when Bo came to Salem, Hope was 16, which wasn't aging her much. By changing Hope's birthdate to '74, it would mean that she would have only been 11 when she and Bo married the first time in '85. I just wish the writers wouldn't do this.
