Of all the characters on this show, my least favorites are Max and Stephanie. Now it seems that Days is currently
The Max Brady Hour
I didn't have a chance to watch Tuesday's show, so I sat this afternoon and watch Tuesday and today's shows. Between Max, Stephanie and the numerous flashbacks, I probably only watch about 20 minutes of the show and ff'd through 100 minutes.
Soon Max's sister will be here, and whatever the connection with Nicole and Trent, I can only see more and more and more of Max and whiney butt Stephanie. I can also see me watching less and less and less. I'm really disappointed.

All I can say is - if they are going to make the show so centralized around ONE character in particular - the very least they can do is give it to a character who is WELL portrayed by someone who can ACT! Obviously, IMO NEITHER is the case here. And please - all you Max fans - don't get your panties in a twist - I don't and WON'T like him - and obviously, I'm not the only one. It seems to me that this little show-off kid must be some kind of PR mogul - - it sickened me to see that he ACTUALLY threw himself some kind of pre-Emmy/benefit party (what??!!!) - yup - the pics were in some soap mag. So, apparently he has certainly worked his pick-me-pick-me-look-at-me-look-at-me hijinks on TPTB @ Days (yes, those morons with the "high" standards) - and went and landed himself loads of screen time - lucky us. The whole idea of such an attention-seeking showoff brat actually GETTING so much attention is just pure revolting to me.
This appears to be the new writing style -- huge, month-long story arcs that dominate the show, with smaller arcs in the background, and the next big story arc building. We had Bo's surgery, the kidnapping, (I was on a month-long vacation in Europe, so missed what was next), and now Max's bio family story.... sit tight, this too shall pass. My guess the next big arc will have something to do with Kate's relationship with to the Chelsea's boyfriend doctor, then we we will have a huge arc surrounding Stefano's battle with John's memories (brought to you by Marlena)...

I don't mind Max and feel like this story line has potential. I did think that the scene with Max & Steph and Steve & Kayla was a bit weird as Kayla was treating Max like a brother and Steph was acting like they should be treating him as her boyfriend. It just came across strange although I thought I caught Kayla give Steph a funny look.
I'm really more fed up with Steph at this point. Boy does she suffocate Max or what! We get that she cares for him but the boy can barely sneeze without Steph being there!

Message: I dont have A problem with it because I like Max's portrayer and I think he's talented. Plus he's been on the show for over 4 years and this is the first time they've really written for him. On the other hand Stephanie (along with her parents) should be written out. IMO the Johnson's are super dull. They're the most uninteresting trio on the canvas.

Message: Right on, Aldornia. Max is the most boring, useless, annoying character and Stephanie is a close second. Not to offend their fans, but I'm not enamoured of Steve and Kayla either. Or mom Brady for that matter. Frankly, Theo's reaction to the pub scene is about the same as my own.

Message: I hear ya! What about that stupid flashback on Tuesday's show? It kept going...and going...and going...enough already!!! Aren't flashbacks supposed to be brief? I had to FFd through all that. I am really tired of scowly Max. He's not particularly nice to Stephanie either. And btw, why does Stephanie look more like Bo & Hope's kid than Steve & Kayla's? lol
