And...one other question...i always get a kick out of chelsea and steph referring to each other as bestfriends...but...their parents are full-siblings...so aren't they first cousins?
If so...the i REALLY got a kick out of chels admitting to max today that she used to be 'so jealous' of both max and steph when those two were dating early on...so, basically chelsea was jealous of her uncle and her first cousin's romantic relationship because of her (chelsea's) prior romantic stint with her uncle max...who is also steph's (chel's cousin, remember) uncle...
lol... i know this deal that DOOL does now with all the interfamily relationships is really cool with and admired by everyone else on this board...but today's ep with chelsea and The Niecinator just reminded me that-even for a soap- i think its sick...jmo, as always...

As for Chelsea and Stephanie beging best friends, they were friends before Chelsea even knew she was a Brady. Also, first cousins can be best friends, there's nothing odd about that.

Here's my questions to you poster - How do you feel about a Phillip and Stephanie pairing? The writers seem to be hinting to this possibility. Phillip is actually Stephanie's uncle as well but they aren't related by blood.(Just like Max) The only difference here is that Phillip and Stephanie didn't grow up together as uncle and niece since Bo didn't even know he was Victor's son until late in life. So, do these slight differences make it ok for Stephanie and Phillip to date? I'm curious to see your responses.
Now here's my response. . . While Phillip and Stephanie seem to have some chemistry and I'm not bothered by the issues mentioned above, I still have a problem with the age difference and the different places in life. Stephanie is a college student. Phillip is a grown man already out in the world. I'd perfer to see Phillip with someone his own age and in a similar place in life but I'll reserve judgement until I see how it all goes.

That's exactly what you get when you intermingle characters and families too close together. The old saying "it's a crazy soap opera" is tiring on me. Everyone's been saying to bring in major fresh blood for YEARS now. Corday just simply doesn't care in this respect.

Message: Yes, Philip is Chelsea's uncle and YES, Chelsea and Steph are cousins. However, Max is not blood to any of the Brady's. He is like the adopted uncle so to speak. I don't actually find that as bothering as some others did, simply becasue he isn't blood.

Message: I must be in the minority, because I don't think it is so cool. I had gotten used to Stephanie and Max, but I really preferred Max with Morgan. I also like Phillip and Chloe although we will have to see where everything goes when Brady returns. AND, if EJ would get over Sami, he and Nicole would make a good couple.
