I was looking at the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest while waiting in line at the store, and it said that Joseph is coming back as Stefano. It also addressed a comment that he had made about feeling as if he had been double crossed by the show and Ken Cordray. He said he had just lost his father, and was feeling very emotional. Cordray said they had always planned to bring him back sooner or later, and now is the time. It should be exciting to see Stefano and John going at it over the war of the Mansion. Imagine Stefano's surprise to come home and see John, Lucas and Sami and the twins all living there, not to mention EJ! Should be quite a time.

I love Joe Mascolo. He's a talented, skilled, and highly professional actor with a mastery of his craft that some are barely equipped to envy. His ability to make tasteless, run-of-the-mill writing sound like decent plot-development is almost harder to perceive than it is to achieve.
However ...
If the writers depend on that dreadful, shopworn, time-shredded, sucked-dry, insipid, idiotic* "V"-theme for their DiMera plots, then I won't be wildly elated at his return, either.
*[There was a sale on adjectives down at Big Lots this weekend ("Buy two, get one adverb free!"), and I snatched up several crates of 'em]
