Subject: The fact that you think she used to be 'chubby' speaks volumes!! She isn't this way because of fan response. She is this way, in part, because of the pressures to always be 'thinner' in Hollywood. There are ALWAYS folks in Hollywood who will tell actresses, of any age & any weight, that they are 'too fat'. eom

Subject: I think you need to re-read my post, Rosebud, cause I didn't say that I thought she was chubby! I said she's not as chubby as she used to be (notice it was in quoutation marks), meaning she wasn't as thin as she is now.

Subject: To quote Rosebud: 'She is this way, in part, because of the pressures to always be 'thinner' in Hollywood.' How can you say this? How the heck would you know? Are you a personal friend of hers and she has confided this to you. WTF?? And can you explain why a skinny person (or fat for that matter) is always considered UNhealthy. eom Ald

Subject: Ald: I have never said that a fat person is automatically unhealthy. I never would. There ARE healthy people who aren't a size 2. Even doctors say that it isn't healthy to be underweight & that bones protruding isn't a sign of good health, it IS a sign of an eating disorder--like anorexia or bulemia. I've been around eating disorders most of my life & part of a support group for the last 24 yrs. I know what I'm looking at. I've been around actors, models, dancers, etc. & have seen them being under extreme pressure to be as thin as possible. Most of those at either extreme would deny having an eating disorder, if asked. They would say that they were 'naturally thin' or 'big boned' rather than admit that they have an eating disorder. When someone lives in a community, like Hollywood, they only get more insulated & think that this IS normal behavior. They think that being a size 6+ IS being a Plus Size! Some people are naturally thin. I have some of those types of people in my own family. But it is rare. eom
