I hear it's a matter of choice.  You must choose to be happy.  What do you think about this?  What is the happiest country in the world?  Believe it or not it is the Scandanavian country of Denmark in a poll.

I don't know what other people's key is, but the key to MY happiness is "a credit card that's got no limit & a big black jet with a bedroom in it" .... a deserted beach on a beautiful day, plenty of Corona Light & some limes, a buffet of seafood & fruit.... and The Rock.

Yup, that'd bring a big'ol smile to my face!!!!  Roll

I don't know but I think a person needs to be able to laugh at herself.

Actually I'd think it would be the people in NOrway, where the Gjetost cheese comes from!

It certainly makes ME happy!

I saw a comment once by a really old person, somebody around 90-100 years old.  They were asked the secret to a happy life and the person answered, ''I think people are about as happy as they choose to be.''  For most of us, I'd say that's about right.  The glass can be half empty or it can be half full, it's up to each person to decide which.

I saw a segment a couple of weeks ago re: the folks in Demark being the happiest people. One thing that struck me is that their expectations are low! Also that they communicate w/one another using body language rather than speaking w/strangers....for instance... on a bus.... Instead of saying ''This is my stop I need to get off...''....they start gathering their belongings and w/out words, the person next to them ''gets it!'' and lets them up & out. TThey rarely make conversation w/folks they don't know. It was really interesting.

The key to happiness for me today would to be out of this fire pit of a town! We are again under precautionary evacuation!! I guess I could choose to be happy but I'm too weary a month into all this.

  • If I couldn't talk to other people, I would be very unhappy. Just ask auntie en. eom/pm
  • Yeah, pm feels a pressing need to tell everyone on that bus about her recipe with chicken and onion soup. eom emmy
  • I would be in a pickle myself!! ; ) TDQ
  • mmmm.. pickles.... eom/pm
  • Going about daily life without TALKING!!!!! YIKES!!! Now THAT is NOT being HAPPY! ;-) JuMPer
