Topic: My laptop died a painful death, no email for me :(

WAHHH!!  My hard drive gave up the ghost this weekend.  I am using my kids' computer right now.  I will hopefully be able to replace it in the next few weeks.  Meanwhile, I can't email.  Once I have my new laptop I will need to collect email addresses again.

Luckily the zillions of digital pics I had on that thing aren't the originals, they are all on CDs.  So let this be a lesson!!  Back up ANYTHING of value you keep on a computer.  When this thing died it did so quickly, there was no warning or last chance to transfer files to a disk.

That stinks! I should do a back up at home.  I am sure one of these days it is going to go.

When I came into work this morning, my monitor made a loud pop.  Well, it is done.  I am excited though.  Boss is getting me a new flat screen.  Woo hoo!

I'm looking forward to getting my new laptop, but dreading the set up. I had my old one for 5 years (not too bad, really). Over the years I loaded a lot of really neat software that I used all the time. Now I have to start from scratch...Hubby has a really nice flat screen monitor, I think you will really like yours!
