So we are all moved into our "new" house. Last night in the bathroom on the upper level I found an insect on the ceiling. It was about an inch long and had legs all the way around it. My son says mom it's a centipede, I think he may be right. But do they move so fast? This nasty creature that has invaded my home moved like a cockroach! I'm still shuddering at the mere thought of having that insect in there. Why is it that one small insect can put you on the defense in your own home? LOL.
Ang.

Pfffft. That's nuttin'.
I found a HUGE SUN SPIDER in our living room. They're a cross between a spider and a scorpion. I killed it and left the carcass for hubby to dispose of...and every time I walked by, I checked to make sure it was still dead.
Horrible things.

Hey, be thankful it's not these:

Thanks to a boxelder tree in our backyard, we always have infestations of boxelder bugs. An exterminator told us that the only way to kill them is a mixture of soap and water. They nest in our siding and when I spray up in the cracks, hordes of bugs come falling out! They also like to get into our house---and they FLY!
I'm pretty sure you've got a silverfish. I find them in my bathroom too occasionally. They move fast, and that's what startles you. I'll trade you one silverfish for hundreds of boxelder bugs anytime!

it does sound like a silverfish....yuck..I hate all bugs especially spiders! ..we are currently having an ant problem, and I've been battling them the last month or so. Just bought a new bug spray and so far so good.....haven't seen any in a few days.

Ewww! I hate bugs, especially spiders and centipedes.
However, my 9-year old loves them. Thank goodness!

Ok I don't think it's a silverfish, thank GOD! But I do believe it may have been a centipede. I should listen to my 9 yr old more often, lol.
Ang, still shuddering........
It could be a silverfish. Did it look like this?
