Topic: Easter Candy for Halloween?

Additional Comments:
My husband and I buy candy four times a year: after Christmas, after Valentine's Day, after Easter, and after Halloween ... 50% to 75% off.

We've still got a ton of Easter candy, and it's still good. Aside from the fact that the expiration dates haven't passed yet, I tasted some of them just now, and they taste great. Creamy chocolate eggs and such.

The question is, should I add these to our Halloween mix to give to Trick or Treaters tonight? If your child came home with Easter candy, would you think it's "old" and throw it away? Does it look like we're cheap (as opposed to financially responsible, which is what we really are_ What do you think?

Sorry - I'd probably not allow my kids to eat it.  Now, if I knew you - that would be different.

I think parents will think a little of both.  If it wasn't actually eggs, it might work.  Eggs are so Easter.

as a parent, I would throw it away thinking its old. I would not add that. You know right before Halloween, like today things are marked down good.

2 good size bags of candy 2.00 each sometimes that is less then the 50 % off reg. retail price.

Are you dressing the baby up? I did my babies, in Halloween sleepers!!

I think it was old too :( I know it's not and you would not pass out old candy, but as a parent I may think differently.

Personally, if I found a wayward bag of Valentine's Day candy in a closet, I'd be having a party. I'm thinking that the parents of little kids, however, would deem it "old..." although I'm betting that the dads would have no problem testing it...
