With all due respect...crazy. I find this whole topic terribly sad. Is there going to be a topic on the board tomorrow about how we never really landed on the moon? JFK conspiracy rumors? Again, I don't mean any more disrespect then the original topic...I don't even know why I bother replying. Actually, yeah I do...Not only am I a damn proud American but I am from NJ and I had loved ones that were there...by the grace of God they didn't die, but they were there. I have a dear friend who was related to one of the pilots on flight 93. My heart was broken on 9/11 beyond repair and like everyone else I watched the footage. Over and over again. I can close my eyes and picture it. I remember what the city smelled like a few weeks later when I went to go visit. If it is easier to believe that it was a conspiracy...have at it. Planes flew into the building ... the planes were full of jet fuel...the impact and intense heat...and the construction of the buildings caused them to fall. What is so difficult to grasp?

People believe what they want to believe...period. Yep, that goes for me too.

You two and others are more than welcomed to your opinions. I guess I was never suspicious of our government for years. I believed that people were inately good and they all had our best interests at heart. I have seen more, thought more, and as I age, I look at the past and weigh what I see. I sure would like to go back to that blythefully, happy, trusting young person I used to be. I just think there will be consequences for inattentiveness to what is going on in the world. I did intentionally put this post in question form.. You both honestly responded as you believe. That was all I was asking for. I didn't mean to be offensive or disrespectful to anyone. There is a difference between being distrustful and being disrespectful. I am not naive. I don't trust any government 100%, but I have FAITH in people. It is called human decency. If you honestly believe that a bunch of government officials would set up and cause 9/11 to be able to justify starting a war, then I feel very sorry for you. eom Kri

Unfortunately, our new media is totally out of control. These suspicions are all a part of what the media is feeding us daily. We are fed so much more than fact on the news. We are now fed how we should feel, how we should act, what to be fearful of and more. News is supposed to be NEWS, nothing more! The media is causing so much more harm than good that I really feel something should be done. I used to enjoy watching the news, but when they continue to lean in one direction. it is totally out of control. The question you asked is nothing but a story that the media is hyping with absolutely no facts. Nothing I've seen or heard can make me EVER believe this was some sort of American conspiricy.  I've seen all the so called *evidence* that it was...I've also seen how each and every incident has been explained scientifically to prove it happened just as it did...Terrorist hijacked planes and flew them into the towers, the Pentagon and into the ground.  I have family who work at the Pentagon...they had friends who died that day...it was a plane the  destroyed lives and the building...not bombs like that one video will have you believe.

I'm NO fan of the American Government as it stands today...but I mean really????

Maddy, when I discussed this topic with my husband after posting it, I explained about the people reporting they felt a bomb in the basement. And that people in the basement were in jured supposedly before the plane hit the building. He said that the elevator shafts were in the center and the fuel from the plane went down the shaft quickly, flashed. that would explain the bomb feeling in the basement But the man in the interview said he felt it before the plane struck. Maybe I have watched too many crime tv shows with my husband. I don't trust those in charge. There are bigger people out there pulling chains. JuMPer

There was a thing on youtube that I posted about probably a year ago. If you go there and look up 9/11 coincidences you will find some fascinating stuff. In my mind, there is ALOT that just doesn't add up..and there are many questions that need to be asked. To even try and wrap my brain around the fact that all this was done "intentionally" is terrifying to me.

Blondie, maybe that is why I posted this ...it was very troubling to me. Yet, there seemed to be truth in their reasoning. Afterward, we did give up some of our freedoms willingly for the sake of security. When you think of the potential of dark hearted people in the wrong places, it is disturbing. If those in Hollywood can conceive the lines of deception and enact them, why can't it be done in the government, too? Shouldn't we be attentive to what is going on in government? JuMPer

You know I could have sworn that the footage I saw ON the day I heard loud booms. Its one of those things we'll never know. However, I used to date a guy in the CIA. He was extremely mysterious (I suppose to a 21 year old, that was exciting...lol) I'd always try to get him to tell me a secret. He'd get quiet and then said, he'd never relinquish any information because he has orders to kill the person who learned them. Huh?? I looked at him and he was dead serious. He did say though that if I knew a 1/3 of what went on, I'd think he was talking about a 3rd world country.

It was a fascinating 8 months. I'd never know where he was next. One day I'd see him, and the next thing you know he'd be calling from Russia or something. I'd get all kinds of postcards from around the world.

Our govt holds all kinds of secrets...I'm not one to fall for alot of conspiracies...call me jaded, but one group of people I don't trust is the government.

I really don't buy into the conspiracy theories about 9/11.  But I do believe that when it happened, Bush saw a golden excuse to launch that war in Iraq he'd been planning since the election.

I&B, I have to agree with you that there was an unfinished war at hand. The trade towers had been hit before, then the Murra Building in OK City. Were they practices for the trade center? Was it to get the attention of the people and get them angry enough to get them to go to war? The talking heads fuel the fire. Then, we loose our freedoms...the Patriot Act, Homeland security...etc...and we give up our freedoms for the sake of ''safety''. We are all human beings and we all have value...not just those with the money....but they don't want us to think we have any value...or do they, to the extent that we get angry and act when they pull our chains and start a war. One of my daughter's favorite movies was Princess Bride. At the beginning it was explained how the Dread Pirate Roberts was out to start a war.....an dso it began... JuMPer

I don't buy the argument that the Murrah Building and all that was related to 9/11 somehow but I do agree that people give up their freedoms WAY too easy and allow themselves to be manipulated through fear. According to the information on the ''movie'', they were all built one to another. Since I wasn't in on the planning, to me it is all speculation. Someone may have proof, bu t it is not me. I am here merely to bounce this off folks and discuss the topic, as I found it interesting. True or not, it gives up some fodder and insight as to the potential of what could happen, and we if read, listen and watch...we may see for ourselves just what is going on. Something was definitely fishy about the 911 attacks...If they weren't planned by the gov., they were 'allowed' to happen. Bush was warned in Aug. that attacks were imminent and ignored them. I wouldn't be surprised if another attack occurs before the election. McCains manager said an attack would be a big advantage to the campaign. elaine, Ahhh, you did catch the 'allowed' to happen...sad, but I feel the government is very corrupt. The Kennedy's, Johnson's involvement in Vietman, the stock market crash in '29, the beginnng of WWI, WWII, The gold standard trashed for what we have now. A system that can NOT get itself out of debt because of who is involved in the debt. If we stay in a war, we stay in debt, and won't even be able to pay the debt down because the interest is too great. Cyclic debt and prosperity. What actually caused that? A bit off the topic here... What reports citing ''imminent threats'' said that planes were going to be hijacked and flown into buildings? From what I have seen, there was one line in a memo regarding potential threats. But it was theoretical. Do you panic the entire world on a theoretical ''this could happen some day'' supposition? If there were knowledge of a credible threat, it wouldn't have been buried in a daily brief...................................Sparky

evil charity, I just finished watch Zeitgeist, The Movie. Don't know how I happened to get it. Email, search for something else. I watched some of it last week. Didn't believe all I was seeing...then, when I began today, where I had left off last week, the pieces began fitting together. Especially when they got to American History, Rev. War, WWI, II, Vietnam, the change of the gold standard, and the World Money and the World Bankers. Then, there was 9/11 which I saw, Iraq, Afghanistan, a war with Chavez, but he didn't play their game, so far. The North American Treaty between Mexico, US and Canada and the AMERO dollar. Micro chips in all the new passports, the FEDERAL ID's...all these things for the sake of our 'security'....how is it that these things don't make me feel more secure? Creating panic in the markets to cause collaspes, Stock Markets, Housing Markets...setting people up to fail...look at all the loans that the banks made to the people for their houses...Reposessions..displaced, out of work... Our debt is cover by China, Japan, the Saudi's have their own deal. Our people in this country were sold out when we lost the gold standard. Actually before that. We lost big in the early 1900's. We are enslaved to a government who will never balance a budget because they can't. Our debt is too great, and if we think we can, someone will start a war so we can't. It has been done over and over. Vietnam...a war with no end, because there was money to be made. WWII, the same. Iraq and Afghanistan, the same thing. At the cost of our sons and daughters. The people at the top don't care...it isn't their sons or daughters.

I can't believe that anyone in our government who has attended college in political sciences, american history or government doesn't know these things and doesn't want better for our country. Or do they all feel that they CAN'T do anything about it? JuMPer

I remember how I stumbled on this web site. It had to do with THERMITE. I was reading about STAN MEYER and his hydrogen car and other web pages, and somewhere I was reading about THERMITE. I was on You Tube and saw this movie. Put it into favorites to watch later. Thermite is HOT. Hotter than jet fuel. It also causes the heat cutting melting. I have a feeling that we will find out that there was more to the fall of these buildings than just the planes that hit them. The floors should have fallen and left the metal frames standing, if they had not been blown from below. JuMPer

It just seems really convenient that terrorists could pull off those attacks despite our supposedly superior intelligence resources, yet nothing has happened since then. And they can't find Osama.  Personally I've wondered if they can't find him because they know exactly where he is, and he's on the payroll somehow.

Benizer Bhutto, in one of her final interviews with Frost, commented that Osama Bin Laden was dead. Frost just glossed over this comment...Why wouldn't he say..'WTF', OBL dead?' No he just continued on. Not long after that she was assinated. I think OBL is dead and these so called messages are fake. Got to keep the big bad boogy man alive to justify our invasion and continued occupation of Afghanistan. Go in there, search for OBL, get out. What right to do we have to 'nation' build...determine what form of religion they follow. It's up to the people. More money spent and wasted. I'm not this government's biggest fan, but I don't tend to believe in these sorts of theories simply because I don't believe the government is capable of pulling off something like that.

ITA, RK. I work for the government and believe me, it's such a disorganized mess that there is no way something like this could have been pulled off with no evidence. The US Government is incapable of ACTION of this magnitude. It would have taken eons for the government to have organized 9-11. And every time a new president is elected, the project would have begun all over again because all agency heads/cabinet members are replaced every time. This is one reason nothing gets done; there is no continuity. And the right hand never has a clue about what the left is doing, either. It's chaos. ~Carissa
