Additional Comments:
He checked into the hospital on Thursday morning last week. He was originally supposed to have been there for 3 days and then gone back this week for treatments on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. He reacted to the medicine and had to have lots much stuff done - blood transfusions, etc. So they didn't let him come home. He finally got to come home on Tuesday night at about 10:00. So he was home yesterday. He worked 1/2 a day. Felt like crap. And his blood sugar is all out of whack - so he had to get all the diabetic supplies and test his blood sugar 4 times a day. It was 385 yesterday before lunch. Damn prednisone.
He is back today having more treatments. Supposedly this is his last one and they will remove the pick line and he won't have to go back for another month when he'll have another biopsy done. But I don't have my hopes up on this one.
The doctors are encouraged by his strong reaction to the treatment. They really think they have bee successful this time and hopefully have stopped the rejection. ???? Time will tell.
So keep your fingers crossed that today goes well and he can come home!
I've been hanging in there. I really feel sorry for single moms. It is really tough to work full time and do it all by yourself. And I really wish we hadn't signed our son up for fall baseball AND flag football. Daughter's in the middle of soccer season and I'm doing a play at church. It's all been crazy trying to get everyone where they need to be. Luckily I have some other parents/neighbors who we can carpool with. Unfortunately I don't know anyone on my son's teams. And we weren't able to go visit him the whole time he was in the hospital. We had a crazy gas shortage and I had to use my lawn mower gas to even get to work on Friday. And he wanted me to get the kids to their committments over us coming to see him. But I felt sorry for him and guilty that we couldn't go see him. And we never knew when he was going to get to come home. We didn't want to go see him on Saturday and then him get to come home on Sunday. It was a long 6 days.
Thanks for the continued support and prayers! Hopefully I will have good news to share next time I give an update.

Just talked to hubby. Looks like he has one more hour of treatment and then gets to come home. His creatinine is down to 1.6! So hopefully this is all good news and a good sign that the treatment worked!
Thanks for the support you guys. Your words of encouragement really help get me through the hard days!
