Additional Comments: I don't understand why Carly wants Jason to be named as the father of the baby. Why bring him into it altogether? I must have missed something... Either she would tell the truth (God forbit) or let Jax believe he is the father. Personally, I can't wait until everyone finds out that she and Sonny slept together in the limo going home from where Michael is staying.

This is just a guess and not a very educated one because I haven't been watching the show for very long but I think that Carly figured if the baby was Sonny's and he helped raise it then it would be hurt or killed just like Michael. Also Jason hasn't publically said that he is Jake's father in order to keep Jake safe, she knows that Sonny won't do that but Jason most likely would just let Jax be named as the father. Its all about protecting th ebaby from getting hurt, Sonny is too selfish too give up his rights to this unborn child and Carly knows it but she also knows that saying Jason is the father will not only keep the baby safe but will also get Sonny off her back. I don't agree with what Carly did because I think Jax will be even madder when he thinks she cheated on him with both Sonny and Jason. But then again she isn't thinking straight because she is freaking out and still grieving over Michael.

It really does defy logic. This recycled nonsense is just one more in an endless laundry list of reasons why the smug, mean-spirited misogynist that is Guza needs to be given the boot. I, for one, am keeping my fingers crossed that the new writers of "Night Shift" turn out to be so good that Frons decides to hire them for GH once NS season 2 is completed. I know that it's a long shot, but hope springs eternal.

Wouldn't make much difference to GH as long as Guza is headwriter. He controls where story goes. He does not write the day to day stuff; the headwriter writes the plots, the stories, and determines where the characters go, so he would still have control--well, up to the point his boss approves. Because the EP and the Head of Daytime, Frons, still have input. So hiring a couple of new associate writers would simply affect the dialogue. Not the stories. Some associate writers stay with a show a long time and some change shows and some drop out. Their coming and going changes only the actual day-to-day writing, not the stories. I think the better ones may have some input now and then, but many of them don't even live in the same city where the show is produced and send in their work. They are simply sent outlines for a certain day or week. If a good new writer was hired as HEADWRITER--well, now that would make a big difference! GHFan

Sorry--the above sounds so preachy. I misread and thought you said if Guza hired the new writers for GH, but you said Frons. If Frons replaced Guza, now that would be an improvement. It couldn't be much worse, right? GHFan

I also think that it could very well turn out that she's not even pregnant. I hope the truth comes out soon instead of things dragging out. Luna

This is the same situation that happened when she was pregnant with Michael. She ran to Jason, because she did not want AJ to have her baby. That time Jason went along, this time he should know better. This story is completely recycled.
