It has taken me a couple of days to actually comment on Claudia's demise. I have stopped watching GH as of SJB's last day this week, the manner in which Claudia was written out is utterly disgusting, misogynistic, vile, reprehensible & spiteful. Did Sarah Brown's comments surronding the writing for Claudia rub Guza the wrong way? I strongly believe so. Not only did he turn her character into an INSANE lunatic by the end, she's most assuredly DEAD as a doornail and NOT COMING BACK!!! Michael told Jason implicitly that he "heard my mom screaming and I picked up the AX", Claudia was struck in the head with an ax, not a club or a stick as the soap press was misled (check out the SID cover) but an AX...WTF???? What is most disturbing are the nonchalant, relieved attitudes of Sonny, Jason & Carly, at least Sam had the decency to look shocked & horrified by the sight of Claudia's lifeless, blood soaked body lying at her feet.
Michael deserves EVERY bit of torment he'll endure behind this atrocity, though knowing GH it won't be much. If only Johnny knew that his sister was killed this way. This is horrible for anyone but an actor of SJB's caliber who brought so much to this show acting wise. She was the best actor (male or female) on the show and speaking out about her discontent with a badly written character w/o direction or focus, shouldn't have resulted in an ending like this. As usual though, SJB took horrible scripts and spun gold. She made Claudia, who in recent weeks became a psychotic kidnapper, blackmailer, slutty, borderline incestous freak, the focal point of the show, with an acting tour de force that deserves at least an Emmy nod if not the Best Actress statue. Her first airdate on Bold & Beautiful was yesterday and already she's imbued Sandy/Agnes with dimension and motivation in her 1st day. That's a REAL actor for you. She's in great company with multi-Emmy winners like Susan Flannery, Heather Tom, Rick Hearst & Lesli Kay. So long GH, I won't be missing anything. UP OUT MY FACE GUZA & CO.!!!!
