Additional Comments:What female can get up, get dressed, check herself out the hospital less than 24 hoursafter giving birth? I'm sure there's some pain involved, soreness, weakness, lack of energy..? All this left over strength without benefit of an epidural..Carly: The superwoman.

Message: Most hospitals these days DO discharge women less than 24 hours after giving birth. This has been standard for decades. It is rare that a woman stays at the hospital longer than 24 hours, unless there were complications. Many insurance companies have insisted that women be released just hours after having their babies. A lot of doctors get pressured from insurance companies & HMOs to NOT keep women longer than 24 hours (perferably less).

Come on. Women used to drop babies in the cotton fields and keep on picking. A rest after childbirth is probably the ideal scenario, but all she did was get dressed and go home. I don't see her doing any heavy lifting.

Message: Exactly!! I was wondering the same thing! I can't imagine a woman getting up & walking out the door soon after the birth of her baby like she did........but we're talking about Carly here. She's supposed to be one tough woman! I should think she would have been bleeding & in some pain. I would have thought Jason would have picked her up & carried her out. Plus, who cleaned up the baby?! The baby looked like she was a month old & looked all fresh & clean! A new born's skin is usually red, bloody, & blotchy. She sure didn't look like a new born. But, they can't use new borns on tv......soooo, guess I'm just being picky here!
