It was. But I continue to be amazed that Luke is now drinking more heavily than he did before the three heart attacks. He pours scotch as if it were lemonade. Was the heart attack story one written by the scab writers? Guza seems to be hurrying along in fast to get rid of story lines invented by them, although some of them seemed interesting to me and I'd like to see how they would pan out. I'd love to know the real backstory on Ian, but I don't think I'll see it, or even hear about it.
I didn't see any harm in allowing Luke to at least become a more moderate drinker, but somebody seems determined to have him skunk drunk every time he's onscreen.
A dark suspicion keeps sneaking out of the bushes to unsettle me. If the rumors should be true that Tony Geary is ready to retire, would they then kill Luke? Would the writers or would Geary want that? I've imagined that maybe it is the actor himself, who has protected that character through all the years and changes of writers, who would prefer to play his last scene, maybe win his last award, and not leave Luke to be redone by either another actor or unknown writers.
But that's just me. I dreamed there were giant rampaging Asian cockroaches in my back yard last week, having a party with Japanese lanterns. Pay me no mind.
