in goober's viagra universe, where brian frons stars as uranus.

honestly, wouldn't you rather trade all the vadges, sluts, pr*cs, assh*les and god knows what else filth and trash for an honest-to-goodness, character-driven story with the show's true heroine, laura.

sarah brown and laura wright are fabulous, but i'm tired of seeing them play two of the most despicable, cringe-worthy, narcissistic crackpot whores in daytime. ENOUGH!

Whatever person is at fault here really needs to be removed from their position because they are costing their company money in lost revenue and ratings since resigning GF in whatever way would certainly boost their advertising revenue and viewer ratings!  I really, for the life of me, do not understand how they can overlook this when they have an actress willing, eager and able to come back and a viewership just begging for it and begging for years, that they do not make this happen on a more regular basis!  Having GF back even for a little bit is great but gosh--all the history, all the storylines that could so easily be written by any one of us, is mind boggling!  Oh well--at least she has some screen time coming really soon!

  • What difference would it make if the individual was removed? This isn't about individuals, it is about making penny wise, but pound foolish choices at a Corp. level, with no regard or affinity for soaps or the audience. Individuals come & go behind the scenes, at all levels, but Corp. mandates & perspectives have remained the same, unfortunately. Hopefully, there has been a serious shift in Corp's priorities, but I'm not holding my breath. Personally, I don't want to see GF become one of the many returnees who gets stuck w/her character not resembling, in any way, the character we all fell in love with. Numerous times we have seen beloved characters back from limbo, only to be disappointed in the direction those characters were taken in. A very recent example has been Marty on OLTL. We're supposed to believe that amnesia has her believing that Todd (her rapist) is her savior, ignoring her first impressions that he isn't to be trusted. That is just ONE example in a long line of them for ABC alone! eom

Except that it ISN'T Guza & Frons' universe.  Their 'sun' is ABC/Disney Suits.  Making THEM happy is their priority.  If ABC/Disney can't/won't negotiate a permanent return for GF, or even offer her a longterm deal (which was the case last time), they are being paid to take the flak for their bosses' error in judgement.  This would have happened no matter WHO was consulting producer/HW, or head of daytime.  They don't negotiate contracts or make the offers to actors.

  • Sigh no RB1 that is not true. Most of it is Brian Fronz's decision. Fronz, Phelps and Guza. They are the ones that controle this show. I am sure they have to get the OK from others, but they are the ones who make the majority of the hiring decisions. It was Guza's decision to fire Linze Letherman. She even said so. - Logan
