LMFAO! is this art imitating life or what? for those of you in the dark, just go to YouTube and search for Kelly Monaco and you'll see what I mean.
Kelly's a beautiful woman, yes, and she can act when given the story. So why is the show wasting her on such goddamn ludicrious stupid plots, like dealing cards wearing next to nothing in Luke's casino. And please, please, spare me the "you're so mean" comments. You know that's what they're going to show because they're too dumb to figure what to do with Kelly other than trot out her assets. It's unfair to the actress and her true fans who deserve better.
I would think fans of hers would start rallying to the cause and demanding that the show give her a leading actress story that's worthy of her talents and worth tuning into and possibly getting her back into the emmy race. Why can't we have both, a sexy, alluring, beautiful woman with an honest-to-goodness story. Please tell me you're not content with the story she's been given or if you are, then we really are facing the end of GH.

You ask why Kelly is wasted on such stupid plots, well I ask myself this many times too, LOL. Why was it necessary to turn her into a stepdaddy fecker, and one who watches a child get kidnapped or hires thugs to scare Elizabeth and her kids in the park? Oh, and let's not forget TIIC had to throw in the fact that she had married 5 men for their money too. Yep, TIIC just had to make Sam look so bad in comparison to Liz, because they were promoting Liason as their newest couple to root for, (although it really isn't working out as they hoped it would, LMAO). I think Sam has done more than her fair share to prop and pimp them as well as Lucky has, and I want her far away from their S/L. Let Liason sink or swim without either Sam or Lucky's help.
There are plenty of potentilal S/L's to be explored for Sam. Since coming to Port Charles five years ago, she has found her biological mother and two sisters. She also has her cousin Niclolas, and although she carries a different last name, she knows she has the Cassadine blood running through her veins. She's found a friend in Maxie, and knows many people and contacts in PC too. Sam is a character with a well established history now, but I for one would love to find out who her father is. This would not only be a good S/L for her, but for Alexis as well, who happens to be another one of my favorite characters too. In the meantime, I look forward to her working for Luke in the casino at the HS. She's vivacious with a bubbly personality and I think she will do well as a card dealer or a hostess. I'm even looking forward to seeing KM/Sam wearing more glamorous fashions while working at the casino. She has both the looks and figure, and I know she will look quite stunning in whatever she wears.
As a KM/Sam fan I am often disappointed in the direction they have her in S/L's. However, she always does a good job acting in all her scenes, and she's NEVER boring, even with the ''awful material'' she is given. She definitely is one of the main reasons I'm still watching GH and haven't jumped ship.

Message: ICAM, the biggest problem has been lack of development of the character of Sam & appropriate storytelling. This is just a rip-off of Las Vegas & VM's (ex-Brenda) role on that show. Sam is supposed to be parting the 'whales' w/their wads of $$, not just being a dealer.
Another problem w/Sam has been the lack of consistancy & honoring what history she DOES have. This isn't just a problem w/Sam or just a GH/ABC issue. Soaps, across the board, have been having these issues & it has greatly contributed to the decline in viewership. Who wants to invest (emotionally) in characters who's histories will be badly re-written in five minutes, w/virtually no consistancy?!

From what we've been told of her past it's perfectly in line for her to show up there. She's a grifter true and true. I hated her when she was with Jax because of it and haven't stopped since.
It's going to be a HUGE bummer having to watch her in the Luke scenes.
And Lucky needs to get a brain! Just because she fell victim to the TMK and was hurt doesn't take away the fact that she caused detriment to Elizabeth and Jake.

GH really messed up when they hired her. The problem wasn't hiring her, it was figuring out who and what the character was about and what she would do and how she would fit in. They completely *$%&ed it up from the start.
She can be great. I loved, loved her on Port Charles. On GH, I don't even understand her... who she is, why she's here, etc. It is a total waste.

However, I have gotten to the point where I welcome any scenes that do not feature Sonny's greasy face, or the shrieking harpies in his story line. There are so many good actors on this show, that it seems a crime to devote nearly all the air time to this never-ending mob crap.
