Topic: Isn't Kate guilty of embesslement?

Isn't Kate guilty of embezzlement because she took money from the magazine that wasn't hers? So technically, Kate was pulling a "Carly" with Jax, the way Carly did with Sonny: manipulating a kiss to get away with something else.

I've lost all respect for Kate now. TPTB ruin any character they put with Sonny and Kate had such promise. IMO, the character is nothing but a scheming mob moll now.

I hope Trevor finds out about the 'embezzlement' and threatens Kate with blackmail. Too many character get away with crimes on GH as it is.

The playing field has been leveled. In my eyes now, Kate is no better than Carly or Claudia. JMO.

Spinelli transferred the money back into the Crimson accounts after Ian died.   And Jax already knew about it well before Kate kissed him.    I don't care what Kate does, she could NEVER be as big of a whore as Carly & Claudia.  You're really reaching to defend Carly huh?

I just like Laura Wright. I saw Jennifer Branson as Carly, but I didn't see Sarah Brown as Carly, so I don't know Carly's history. I like LW's Carly. LW's character was terrible on GL. Anyway, if Kate's character is ruined, that doesn't mean Carly takes her place with Sonny. I personally would rather that Carly didn't. But what does that mean now that Jax is gone? I wonder if the writers have stories planned, or make things up as they go along.-lj

Of course Kate is as big of a stupid whore as Carly and any other chick who glorifies the mob and must have them in their bed. At least Claudia was born to it, unlike Kate and Carly who went willingly and lovingly to the mob.

Yes, Kate IS guilty of embezzlement.  However, Jax knows & has no intension of pressing charges.  She also returned the funds to the account.  How would Trevor know about the embezzlement?  He has nothing to do w/Crimson & those who know about it wouldn't be telling Trevor the time of day, much less about Kate embezzling money.

If Jax isn't interested in pressing charges, I don't see what leverage Trevor would have.  All Jax would have to say, as Kate's business partner, is that it was a personal loan (or something to that effect) & that it had been repaid. Also, most of the people who DO know would be the people Trevor would be holding over Kate finding out.  Sonny already knows.

Why do I think this will develop into a SL? Secrets always come out on a soap. The people Kate wouldn't want to find out are people that could affect Kate's reputation and the magazine's reputation. Kate has always been a stickler about that. Remember the DUI? Trevor just likes to stir up trouble; anything legal, Trevor usually finds out about it. Or, if Kate goes after Jax, Carly will find out and use it against Kate. As for Sonny, I don't think he's that much in love with Kate anymore. Kate paying Devlin off insulted Sonny's manly prowess, which is sooooooooo important to him. Kate castrated Sonny. With Jax's money. This is too good to sweep under the rug! JMO-lj

This is off-topic, but what would Sonny do to anyone else who 'castrated' him? -lj
