Subject: While IA, a lot of myths still exist about HIV/AIDS, this isn't one of them. Under a doctor's care & with precautions taken, an HIV+ woman can give birth to a healthy child without HIV. The myth here is that the child would automatically be infected because Robin is. eom

Subject: Educate yourself, Mon El. Given that Robin's viral load is undetectable, her chances of giving birth to an HIV positive baby are less than 5%. //SqueezeMe

Subject: Not only is Robin's viral load virtually undetectable, she has been on medication for many yrs. That she is getting top notch medical care as well means that her risk of passing HIV to her child is incredibly low. There are all sorts of birth defects that her child would be at higher risk for--Downs Syndrome & neural tube defects (among them spina bifida & hydrocephalus) to name a few. eom
