The above clip was very powerful, with Justin Deas in his usual powerhouse form. Everything about the scene, including the lighting, was top-notch. And this took place during the sometimes-dreadful Megan McTavish/Michael Laibson regime. Watching this scene really makes me miss Nadine!

I really enjoyed the Nola/Buzz/Jenna triangle, although the writing was subpar. Nola certainly had a colorful imagination! Buzz and Nola would have made a great pairing, and I wish TPTB would have paired the two characters when Nola returned to Springfield in 1995. Buzz and Nadine had split up by then, hadn't they? But then I suppose we would never have had the Buzz/Reva pairing, which was also interesting -- I actually enjoyed watching Reva then.

All in all, very outstanding scenes for all performers involved!

BTW, which J was that who comes in at the end of the Nola scene?  My memory escapes me...  I remember really hating one of the actors who played J (I think because of some obnoxious comments he made), but I can't remember which one that was.

Thanks for those links, it was great to see those again.  I've missed that diner so much...  Company was a poor substitute.  Buzz always seemed out of place there.  You know, I have really loved Buzz with everybody he's been paired with, with the possible exceptions of Selena and Olivia.

Buzz and Nadine were always so entertaining, both together and separately and it goes without saying that Buzz and Jenna were great.

This opinion is not as popular, but I thought Buzz and Reva were wonderful together.  Honestly, the only times I have ever even liked Reva were when she was married to Buzz and then much later in some of her scenes with Jonathan.  I loved the comedic scenes they had together (i.e. playing cards in the bedroom while pretending to have sex to convince Hawk --listening in the next room with pillows over his ears-- that their marriage was real).  I loved when they went up against Alan Spaulding together.  And I thought it was a very unique storyline with their originally platonic marriage starting with Buzz (who had legitimately fallen for Reva) offering himself to be used by her and then Reva eventually convincing him that she had fallen in love with him for real.  Buzz's reaction when Reva told him she was leaving him is probably my personal favorite scene from all of GL.  And I always loved it through the years when they would through in a random Buzz & Reva scene.  I wish they had written Reva more of those and less walking through paintings.

I agree with you about Buzz and Nola, too.  The actors are two of my favorites and I really thought they had chemistry together.  But the actual writing surrounding them was just plain weird.  IIRC, it went something like this:  One day, out of nowhere, Buzz goes into Company, shares a very sweet, touching scene with Nola, kisses her on the forehead, and leaves.  But it was strange because I couldn't tell from the context of the scene if they were even supposed to know each other or if they were intentionally writing them as virtual strangers.  I remember thinking that surely they must already know each other but not being able to remember any previous scenes with the two.  But it was an odd and unexpected scene and I was looking forward to seeing where they were going with it.  Nowhere, as it turns out.  It was a one-time stand-alone scene and they never mentioned it or each other again.  Until...  Suddenly, many months later, completely out of the blue, Nola is hanging out at the diner constantly and has apparently been retconned as being one of Buzz's best friends for years...  when they shared a SINGLE SCENE where he HARDLY KNEW HER!  And then, the writers at the time demonstrate how truly stupid they think their audience is by introducing the storyline of Buzz's "mysterious" stalker.  I mean come on, from the first stalker scene, how could it NOT have been Nola?  And the writing just went downhill from there, with the kidnapping and Buzz's amnesia-- which he never officially recovered from onscreen.  I believe he had amnesia, then was backburnered for a few months, and by the time he was on again, he had forgotten that he had amnesia.  It was truly horrible writing, but like I said, I really did like Buzz and Nola's chemistry, especially in that first one-off scene.  If they hadn't ruined it with this ridiculous storyline, I would have much rather seen Buzz wind up with Nola after Jenna's death than Selena.

Ah, poor Buzz and his relationships...  Nadine and Jenna get murdered...  Reva, Holly, and Olivia all dump him...  Nola stalks and kidnaps him...  Selena gets run out town by the mob...  Alex gets caught framing his son for a felony.  I hope he has better luck with Lillian.  And hope to see Justin Deas win that seventh Emmy on another soap before they're all gone.
