I am SO snooopy! Everybody (lurkers too) try to come on and help us out here. What I am wondering is THIS!!!!
In your area (you can give your city if you want, or if not just a state), WHAT wonderful show are they now showing in GL's timeslot? And does anyone know how to check their ratings to see how these wonderful shows are doing?
I was in a doctor's office today that had CBS on in the waiting room, and I just HAPPENED to see GL's temporary replacement here. ARE YOU READY FOR THIS????? A RERUN of The Price is Right from Mother's Day. Now tell me, can you GET more exciting than that? I RERUN of a show that's too stupid to begin with anyway. (Ever since that show first came on, it literally has given me a headache every time I've ever listened to it.) I just can't tolerate it. By the way, I am in north Florida. And GL's timeslot here was 3:00 pm, which is the same as it's been forever.
Please tell us what lovely things they are showing in YOUR area!!!!

Message: Here in Columbus, Ohio they have put Dr. Phil on in GL's old time slot at 3 PM. It airs on WBNS 10TV. I hate DR. Phil the pill. gag...
Central Virginia.....cbs 6 WTVR.....airing 2 hrs "Price is Right" in a.m....showing "Ellen" at three which was "GL"'s time and not sure what they are showing and 4 and don't care
I think that in Oct which the "new" show "lmad" comes it will be in "GL's" time and "Ellen" either goes to 10 and "Dr. Oz" comes to 4'oclock....don't know for sure as I have no interest in either new show....and only catch "Ellen" on rare occasion....as for now the only thing they have of interest to me is their newscasts noon and evening and the "NCSI" series

Message: Here in Charlotte it's TPIR reruns until LMAD starts in October. Fee, I had a dream that I was watching a new episode of GL. It was about Lizzie and Bill and starting their new family. I was watching it in my bedroom and ran into the living room to tell you, Fee, and my sister. You were both sitting on my couch and were skeptical that the show was on. We changed the channel and there it was! But, when the episode ended, we felt very depressed and knew there would never be another one. I woke up depressed.

Message: I'm in Phoenix, and as far as I know it's Price is Right reruns. Since GL went off, I've tuned out of all daytime. In addition to GL, I was watching OLTL, but stopped recording it. So for now, I'm soap free for the first time in decades.
Haven't watched CBS during the day since last week, and won't be....unless it's to check in on ATWT.
I live in Northern VA, and get WUSA TV9 as our CBS affiliate. I had to check their schedule online to see what they're airing - because I don't care. LOL!
But they are airing Dr. Oz in the 3:00 PM slot vacated by GL. However, for GL's final week, they moved GL for just that final week....to 10:00 AM. So if they did that anywhere else, I can only imagine that when GLs final week of ratings are released, they will be the lowest...because there was only a screen crawl the week 'before' the final week to let viewers know that GL would be airing at 10:00 that final week....if you can manage to follow all my mumbo jumbo.
Now, in the 10:00 AM slot - I don't know what WUSA was airing there previously....but they are also airing Price is Right reruns in the 10:00 slot, followed by I guess the new episodes of Price at 11:00. Looks like they had a lot of dead air to fill. Amazing.

I hope they keep Y&R in it's normal slot it would be dumb to move it.. I agree with who posted about how they should have aired the past shows from years ago.. like when Josh was in the wheel chair and he flipped Reva into the pond.. Mindys beautiful wedding to umm sorry forgot his name... The original cross creek the old bauer bbqs with some of the old cast scens with Maureen and ed before lillian and so on... that I would watch instead of whats on now..

Message: In Ohio...it's reruns of The Price of Right...I guess it's reruns from what I'm gathering. I haven't watched it of course. There's no way in hell I will watch anything on CBS from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. I just want to add that I can't believe what I'm reading about certain areas moving Y&R to 3:00 pm...that's really going to hurt that show...I don't watch Y&R...so I don't know why I care...but still it sucks to see CBS make yet another dumbass move!

Message: In the Los Angeles area we have Rachel Ray at 2pm (GLs old timeslot). Rachel's old timeslot at 9am is showing reruns of TPIR until LMAD starts in a couple of weeks. The only other soap I watch is AMC. I will not be adding another one. The only ones that I would think of adding will probably be canceled so I just don't want to be disappointed and angry again. I only hope that soapnet will start reruns of GL. That I will watch.

Message: Y&R is in GL's timeslot in my area (Alabama, receiving Atlanta channels). I also think this timeslot will hurt Y&R. I have no idea why they would do this and put Y&R in competition with another soap. It has always had the 11:00 or 11:30 timeslot since it has been on. This makes no sense to me.
I believe CBS is packaging those Price Is Right reruns in GL's spot in their national feed until Let's Make a Deal premieres. I'm sure the ratings are miniscule... but then, aside from the token royalties paid to Drew Carey, the announcer, and the models, these reruns are costing CBS almost literally nothing.
To me, though, this is an utter PR failure on the part of CBS. As much as I loved GL, I could have understood if CBS found it necessary to cancel it for financial reasons and then spent the time that was left hyping and honoring the franchise. Just think how it could have been if they had made a deal with P&G to rerun 10 of the fan favorite episodes of GL from the past (and I mean the PAST, not 2005) for this two-week period. But instead, they have intentionally let it end very quietly, sweeping GL's finale under the rug and promoting only LMaD. Obviously, they are trying to distance themselves from the cancellation (in much the same manner as P&G creating "Telenext" for their television productions now that they're almost gone in order to distance their products from the shows... although they still gobbled up all the free advertising they could squeeze in). But the TPIR reruns are adding insult to injury.

Message: Here in Atlanta, GA the new line is B&B, ATWT, and Y&R (in GL time slot). I don't look at B&B and Y&R. So I only tape ATWT. I will tape them until they are cancelled.
