The casting department at The Young and the Restless has found Genoa City's newest billionaire. Veteran actor William Russ, known to many for his work on the 1990s sitcom, Boy Meets World, has been cast as "Tucker." The initial casting call for the role prompted speculation that the CBS soap was trying to recast Victor Newman.
William Russ has landed the much-talked-about role of "Tucker" on The Young and the Restless. Though the show would eventually deny it, the casting call for the role has many wondering if Tucker was really a covert attempt to recast the role of Victor Newman.
Though his career spans more than 30 years, Russ may forever be best-known for his work on the former family-friendly sitcom, Boy Meets World. Russ played Alan Matthews, the main character's father, from 1993 through 2000.

The Ron Raines thing was always a rumor. It said it was a rumor on the original item. And people should know that site is notorious for ungrounded speculation. If people dropped that word off when repeated, well, that's how it goes.

Message: What a shame. Ron Raines would have added a great deal of class to that show. I hope he turns up in another project soon -- preferably one that allows him to use his excellent vocal talents!

Message: I'm sorry he won't be on Y&R. Maybe he'll get to do more Broadway now. I hope so. He seems like a real New Yorker, and a move to California would probably me a major one for him and his family.

Message: I was really hoping to see Ron Raines on Y&R. He would have been a good fit to the show and a great replacement as a new character since Eric B. is leaving the show.
