Topic: Don't mind the sets; hate the stories

Additional Comments: With the exception of that outdoor scene where Mallet was supposed to addressing, what -- five people? -- I can normally get past all the scenes, indoors and out. Half the time I'm doing something while listening, so it doesn't affect me all that much. However, I can't get past these stories or whatever you want to call them. It's almost like TPTB set up the viewers for an exciting SL, and then, wham bam, thank you, ma'am, it's over and out. There just doesn't seem to be any solid foundation to this show anymore, and that's what drives me crazy. I was beginning to think Lizzie had more love for the Spaulding Company than her own daughter (until I saw the teaser for Monday's show), and, quite frankly, still can't get over the fact that she can even speak to Alan after what he did and continues to do with Jonathan and Sarah, but that's just me. I'm just venting and don't want to rehash what many have been saying about in-and-out relationships, but can't they make at least one couple happy for at least six months? (And I'm not including Cassie and Josh in that, because I am and always will be a Reva and Josh fan) Anyway, thanks for hearing me out -- until next time ...

I have some additional need for explination on the Lizzie/Jonathan sl.. Now that Alan is broke and basically a toothless tiger, why don't Jon and Sarah just come back..??

  • Because while Alan may be broke, he is still dangerous. He is still capable of taking over management of Sarah's life & keeping her parents from her. He is still capable of overseeing her Spaulding inheritance as well, which would have been safe from any kind of bankruptcy or loss of the general Spaulding fortunes. Sarah is a very wealthy little girl! Just a 'minor' consideration, the guardian/overseer of a trust like Sarah's comes w/income--quite a lot of income, as well as voting proxy until she is of age, whatever that is stipulated in the way the Trust is set up. eom
