Subject: I was sooo surprised that Pam Long said that she didn't write that story. I could've swore she did! I agree about the Bauers too. She kind of downplayed that, after saying that

Subject: you can't come on a show and kill off major characters, or something to that effect. I also found her recollections of writing for Santa Barbara and One Life to Live interesting. And, she LOVED Paul Rauch!

Subject: I pulled out an old tape. Pam definitely was the headwriter in the summer of 1990 when Reva drove off the bridge. Pam wrote the show until early in 1991. I loved both of her tenures. I liked the first one best, but 1987-1990 was very good as well.

Subject: Pam Long was one of my favorite GL head writers... created many great character and it truly was a magical time for the show. But the fact that she named Paul Rauch as her favorite producer to work with is absolutely mind-boggling and then takes away some of her credibility!

Hence, something smells rotten in Denmark.
Subject: Yes, her saying that she and Rauch got along great kind of made me scratch my head. From what I understood, she and Gail Kobe had a great relationship. Kobe was responsible for Long coming to Guiding Light after Texas was cancelled.
