Holy cow! The rain this summer has been ridiculous, we've set a precipation record this summer already and I just looked at the forecast for the next week and there's rain every single day. We leave for a 1 week cottage vacation and I am hoping that we'll get this "drier than usual" August they've been talking about.
The only thing that is good is that it's not SNOW! LOL.
SIGH...what's the weather like in your neck of the woods?

Message: Its been hotter than hell these last few weeks. This past week its been in the triple digits. 107 was our high on Tuesday. The weather is taking a break for us and this next week it will go down into the low 90's. They are also forecasting rain tomorrow so we'll see. I know it tried yesterday, heard the thunder but that was it.

Message: We finally had a little rain last night. First in over 2 weeks. Today is the first day I have turned off the A/C in over a month....it's 77 right now in SE Michigan. It seems we only get winds off the lake (Erie) in the winter.

Message: Last year it was so hot and dry, then we had a ton of sn*w in winter, now we have a lot of rain in summer. At least it will build up the lakes and rivers. There's one place in Whitby where I go birding sometimes and last year, parts of it completely dried up. I'm not to worried about the rain because I'm outside alot so I get the good and bad weather. After the winter we had, I'll take the summer, no matter what.

I think OH being in the middle of Canada and the Carolinas has been beneficial, because I feel like this summer is perfect! Not too hot, not too cold, rain once a week or so....my grass is GREEN for a change!
Sorry everyone else seems to be on the opposite ends of the spectrum though!

Message: Here in NC we are about to dry up and blow away. It is HOT and DRY. We were having occasional afternoon showers a couple of weeks ago, but they have stopped.
Show me the rain! My grass could sure use it.
We are on watering restrictions. Jon set the sprinklers to go on Sunday night, our watering night, and then left town to drive to Atlanta. I woke up to a $100 fine. Nice.

Message: Wish we had some down here. The lawns are crispy brown. The red clay is baked like adobe and we're not even remotely near the southwest. Water could soon be rationed. Too bad we can't figure out a way to make it rain between midnight and 5 am, everywhere in the world!

Be grateful you are not drying up and watching things wither away - we need rain.
