Additional Comments: The sun is shining, in the 40's today, grass is getting greener, starting the week on a positive note.
Congratulations new gram ma Stella, so glad to hear mom and baby are fine.
Sorry Q your sell you went to was such a bust, I love to go to garage sells for books, seems I can never get enough books to read.

glad you are finally getting spring Bauer you can get into planting and growing. glad you and your family are fine.
I hope Joanne is back home safely.
What is everyone reading, for me it California Girl by T. Jefferson It's about a murder in the 1960's of a beauty queen in southern CA.
I find I like older book because it seems like when authors write so many books the newer ones are nearly as good as the older ones. It seems like the new ones are wrote not for content and interest just to pump out another book for them. like Patrica Cornwell and a few others.
Hi to P, KP, Sandygal Wendy, Sam and anyone I may have missed hope you and your family's are enjoying good health.

It was warm last weekend, but we had to quick pull in all our potted flowers the past few nights because it got cold!  Had to put the heat on again.

We're heading off to Roanoke for the weekend as we are rendezvousing with the oldest daughter and her youngest. She went to college in Salem, VA and it's her alumni weekend. She's bringing the little guy so we can play!  We're checking into a hotel by the airport, will take her down to look at the progress on our lake house, and attend some of the family functions on the campus. Since Virginia Tech is only about 40 minutes away, our son is coming up to join us on Friday for a picnic.  Should be nice.

I've worked a few days this week. Always like to earn some money!  This is working out well. They had to lay people off, so they are teaching me some computer stuff. When they get behind, they call me to help them catch up. And because I'm a temp, I can always say no if I have other plans.  I try hard not to but it's nice to have the option.

The only things I've been reading are Kohler and Moen  catalogs, picking out sinks, toilets and faucets.

My dog has been extremely wacked lately. Very anxious whenever her routine changes; to such a degree that she has had accidents in the house (both ends) (not both ends of the house)  Vet has put her on antibiotics, some kind of holistic and smelly pills to calm the bladder and yogurt.  She's now back to normal again, but shhhhhhhhh. she's going into the kennel again tomorrow for three nights!  Which means, she'll be all wacked out again by Monday.  I told the vet I think we're treating her for the wrong things and we should put her on Doggy Prozac to see if she can get through house guests or overnights in the kennel without getting the big "D".

That's what's new in NC

Hey, Yuk!

It's just been crazy here...someone is always sick, I've been in a lot of pain...my back is bad, and I need to go see a chiropractor or something.  Emily being bullied at school hasn't been fun, and she's also getting ready for her dance recital and First Communion next month, so she's nervous.  She's been pulling her eyebrows out!  Ack.  I'm really, really ready for summer vacation where we can just relax!

Alan has been super busy at work, so he's not here much...since he's the one in charge of providing, I don't REALLY mind, but it's hard to take the brunt of everything when you really don't feel well yourself.

That's why I don't post much right now...I'm such a downer, and I don't want to just post my whiney negativity.  Sorry for this whiney post, lol!

  • Aw I am sorry you aren't feeling well hopefully, the better weather will help your back. with the cold and dampness gone. Sorry the bully problem hasn't went away kid's can be so cruel. yukon
  • Have you decided what you are fixing for the communion? Stella
  • Yes, my husband decided he doesn't want breakfast, he wants lunch stuff...so I'm stuffing shells Friday night, we're going to my niece's communion Saturday (2 hours from home) and then Sunday after Mass I'll pop 'em in for 30 min. and we're good. I'm ordering a cake, and we'll have Italian bread and salad. Simple yet yummy. :) Thanks for asking! Sandigal

I think the weather is finally moving to warmer stuff. Been helping the DIL with the baby. She had a c-sec. and was out in two days. Still knitting him a blanket..maybe by fall it will be done! I'm reading Double Cross by Patterson. Have you read the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon? They are wonderful...you can't put them down. I hope to plant a little garden this year...some peppers and tomatoes..maybe a cucumber. I'm thinking about taking the older two GK to Niagara Falls by train in June. Now that the dollar has takin a crap it will cost much more. Oh well, Grampa's buying!
