Additional Comments:

I'm just freaking out.  In less than 2 weeks, I'm flying up to Chicago and then Jam and I are driving a UHaul, filled with everything she owns, and driving it  across the plains on Route 80 and then 76.  EVERY DAY I see tornadoes across these states!!!!! Hey, I didn't know that Colorado gets tornadoes, too. For some reason I thought there weren't tornadoes near mountains.  I can see us now, driving west and seeing a funnel and not knowing where the heck to pull over with this stupid truck.

Oh, the things we do for our children.

I think as long as there is warm weather it can happen anytime. Sounds like a fun road trip! Plenty of daughter time...can't beat that.

Here in OK we can get tornados even into Sept. Oct.  I remember when we first moved here we were under a tornado watch and what was I watching on the tv?  Twister!

Tornadoes are more more prevelent in the Spring and early Summer, but here in Illinois, its not over until its over. We get them through September, even as late as October if the weather is warm.

July?  May and June are usually the tornado months.  Q, we rarely get them here in Colorado.  I got chased off a golf course once, it was a distance away but no idea which direction it would turn, we watched it from the clubhouse, it was something to see, no one was hurt in that one - that is the only one I've ever witnessed.  I remember as a kid there was some damage on the edges of one of our fields and my Dad would tell the story of how a tornado came through.  You have a safe trip - if you want to meet up I would love it!!!  We are having a get together for Daughter One's graduation and you guys could come.  No pressure, I know how much you have to do and how stressful it all is.  I would be happy to help in any way, let me know, I will give you my cell number, heyyouxo@msn.com
