Nash Spoiler:  I just heard that OLTL has let Forbes March go and that Nash is going to be killed off in June.  I had heard rumors for a few months now that a leading man was going to be leaving the show but never thought it would be Nash, I thought maybe Miles.  Supposedly Forbes March was not very happy about being let go.  Did anyone else here this I am shocked!

I feel bad for the actor, but I won't miss Nash even a bit.  NOw, if only we could get rid of Jared...

  • I like Jared. For the first time in forever there's a guy who's age appropriate for Natalie and makes her interesting. Or the two can ride off into the sunset together. Coming to think of it, if they both go that might be better.

Do you think the grief and stress from losing Nash will cause the "Tess" personality to re-emerge?

I am not surprised.  I read in an interview not long ago where someone asked Forbes why he began to wear his hair in a ponytail.  He responded that he got a hair cut and FV didn't like it.  He was told that he could not cut his hair again, so he put it in a pony tail as a protest.  FV then told him from that point on, he would always have to wear it in a pony tail.  He then said it became somewhat of a pissing match between FV and him.  He really didn't seem happy after that series of events, and I'll bet that was just the last straw.

  • Initially his character was edgy and adorable with a story line, once he married Jess /Tess,his character spent more time rocking Bree to sleep and some boring day to day discussions about the vineyard. I dont blame him for moving on. Hope the Jared character doesnt get similarly ruined. Just dont put your hair in a ponytail/ladyhey

I had read about an ABC hunk who would be getting the ax and I thought that it might be FM.  All I can say is that I'm glad TPTB are getting rid of the dead wood.  This guy's acting has always driven me up the wall.  Jessica as a character deserves to be doing something other than smashing her feet around inside her boytoy's vat of grapes.

That's fine. But a very important note to TPTB:

Please PLEASE PLEEEEEAAASSSE don't let this send Jessica back into Antonio's orbit!

''JAVA'' (longtime - and likely traumatized - posters will recognize that phrase) tasted BAD the first time around. We really don't want a second cup.

    Ever.

  • I think they're going to put her with Christian and leave Talia with Antonio.

This doent surprise me. When they start to make a character look bad, alot of times they are on their way out.The careless way Nash is behaving with Sarah, and the lack of concern for his own wife, is making the audience dislike him, plus the fact he has been way to gullible about taking so much money off a stranger. He always seemed like a loose cannon to me.Wonder who they will pair Jessica with?

    Replies: (list all replies)

  • Maybe back with her first love, Cristian? Though I think she could do a lot better (if there is a ''better'' currently in Llanview). As long as it isn't a move to repeat what was their colossal failure of Jessica / Antonio (YICK!), I'm open to the possibilities. ~Soaker

I did hear there would be a leading man exit. I bet this is it. I'm not surprised that Nash will die, because he is being very careless with who is giving him all this money.  He is headed for a fall, and is even acting weird with Sara and Jessica. I just hope that if he's going, it will be a big story for everyone concerned and not just a wasted opportunity for some really dramatic stuff to happen.

This is unexpected.  I thought he was a fan fave.  Did he do something to piss TPTB off?

Nash/Tess were a great couple IMO.

  • Dixie was a fan fave on AMC, too -- and they killed her off by eating poison banana pancakes. But maybe Nash will come back as a ghost like Dixie in a few months. //Genie
  • Yeah I read that. I don't think Nash will be back. This will be it.
  • I hate it when they kill off a character..why burn bridges? You never know when you might need that person again.
  • I thought it was peanut butter pancakes, no? ~Soaker

I loved Nash when he was first on OLTL but as time has passed he seems to be getting more conceited and not as attractive.  I hate to see anyone leave but I don't think that I will miss him.  I thought that Adrianna and Christian (the actors) were leaving because they wanted to.  Did I not understand something?

    Replies: (list all replies)

  • I read that first Adrianna is leaving, then Marcie, then Christian. Supposed to be some old timers coming back, Susan Haskell for sure. It was also hinted that Kevin and Joey are coming back, I hope they bring DG back as Kevin if they do.

You know, it's strange, just the other day I was thinking that the Jessica/Nash story really was in a lull and wondered if it had run its course.   I was also curious (and delighted) that they were giving Jessica and Cristian more scenes.  We've never really had much between these two with Bree in the role.  So far I think they have pretty good chemistry and I like the history played between the two .... for too long, you'd never even know how deeply they loved each other as teens!

I remember a few years ago at one of the Daytime Emmy Awards, Bree, Forbes and Kamar were presenting together and I noted the body language among the three.  You could see Bree was very comfortable and at ease with Kamar (and I've read they had a very good working relationship and enjoyed having scenes together) but then I noticed the opposite with Forbes like he rubbed her the wrong way.  You could just see it on her face and how she responded to him when he leaned in front of her to talk in the microphone; she looked and sounded a bit annoyed with him.

  • Don't give the show any wrong ideas about Bree & Kamar. Whether or not they got along together IRL, I'd rather stab my eyes out with a fork than to see Jessica put back with Bolonio.
  • No, I totally agree with you ... I was just saying it seemed like there was friction between her and Forbes... like he kind of annoyed her.... yes, I would hate to see Jessica and Antonio back together..... I am kind of liking the Jess/Cris scenes though..... Jack66

Looks like RC/FV are dropping most of Dena's cast additions.

I don't think it is to save money for Andrea Evans return as one poster mentioned.  Each writer has a plan for a character and if the new writer doesn't want to go through with that plan and doesn't have another use for the character, the character is dropped.  That was one of OLTL's big problems a few years ago, too many headwriter and cast changes.

I have mixed feelings re Nash's departure.  I can't say he is one of my favorites.

I like Jared and want him to stick around.

Vincent was no surprise as the character had no story and I wasn't too crazy about the actor or character.  I would much rather have RJ back.

Hopefully Layla will stick around.  I have heard nothing to indicate she is leaving.

If Miles is definitely a goner, I will miss him.  David Chisum's portrayal was very good and I thought Llanview needed someone like him.  Yes the Marty/Miles storyline was a bit of a mess however David still made Miles likeable.

(doing the happy dance)...  I've read a couple of items recently about someone being let go.  It does seem like they have been setting up Nash for a huge fall, so it would be logical.....what am I saying--it's a soap!  Anyway, I digress.  I liked FM as Scott Chandler--I can't stand him as Nash.

I wonder if he is the actor alluded to in last week's SID who got "too big for his britches" and made demands that caused problems on set.  I was thrown off by the term "fan favorite".....
