As YurSoakinginit pointed out, there are a lot of OLTL clips on Youtube from the Tina years.
Some of the things I noticed/remembered - in addition to characters long since gone : (
1. The clips had a lot of music - there was music for certain events as well as certain characters (such as if someone was in danger). Much more music than there is now.
2. Llanfair pre Roger Mooney (sorry if I mispelled his name). He and his team radically redesigned all the sets to make them better quality and more tasteful. Llanfair used to look like a florist threw up in Lord Library. The doors to the library never stayed closed and some of the other sets were too dark - this was done after Andrea Evans left.
3. Jill Larson as Ursulla Blackwell who wanted Tina dead. She rigged the wedding cake at Tina's wedding to explode on first cut. The detonator was missed by everyone but Brenda (who was saved by Steve at the last minute, although Steve died).
4.The hair on the female characters was so big.
