Additional Comments:

Does anyone know the legal implications of what Todd is doing to Marty?  What can he be charged with?  Its not really kidnapping.  Once Marty's memory returns can she have him charged with false imprisonment?  Or will she have to take him to civil court?

Here are just some of the crimes I've seen posted around the net that he's committing that he could get sent away for:

He forcibly removed a disabled amnesiac from her place of residence. He didn't ''rescue'' her. He took her specifically to use for his own purposes. That's kidnapping.

He's physically & mentally holding her captive away from her family, friends & the authorities. He's using her mental defect (amnesia) & physical impairments to control her. Because of her disabilities (mental & physical), she only has what he allows her to have & to know. He took away her free will (Constitutional violations) & replaced it with his pack of lies. She can't give informed consent to whatever his plans are for her life because she's uninformed. Her decisions are based on the lies he's told her. If he has sex with her, it's rape because she's not mentally competent (amnesia) to give informed consent. He knows all about what constitutes rape. He also knows that if she knew who he was, she wouldn't be anywhere near him let alone want to have a relationship with him.

She's his prisoner. That's why he set up his house like a prison (remote location for better control, guards, excessive security, no access to the outside world). He wants to flee with his prisoner to some place where it's easier for him to control her for the rest of their lives. It's illegal to hold someone prisoner. He's impeding an investigation into the murders at Ramsey's place. He's threatening others with great harm if they don't cooperate in all of his crimes.
He could get sent away for the rest of his life & easily be sued successfully for civil damages that would completely bankrupt him after his criminal trial. Whatever he does with his grandchild is another huge pile of major crimes on top of the ones he's been committing on Marty.

  • I really hope he doesn't get away with all this with absolutely no legal repercussions. I'm looking forward to FL returning as Tea, but I loathe the thought of her willingly attempting to help Todd out of his latest legal mess. I just hope she and TStJ have some chemistry otherwise it'll be even more harder to watch./KWF

There probably is no law on the books to fit what Todd is doing. So, legally, all he can probably be hit with is withholding evidence (in the Ramsey murder case). Basically, he's just lying to Marty. And that ain't against the law. Now, the stuff with Starr's baby, he's definitely breaking some laws.

Well, it's child's play compared with what Marcie McBain did. And now she's subbing at a high school. :P
