Subject: Bo's backstory isn't what I think viewers are having a hard time swallowing. It's the suggestion that Snoop Dogg got his ''big break'' from Bo. It frankly sounds ridiculous. Daytime soaps & gangster rap, especially back then, I would have to say ''apples & oranges'' to that. The made-up backstory regarding Snoop Dogg - actually everything that had anything to do with his entire stunt casting - came off as lame and distracting. ~Soaker

Subject: The OP said she's not an avid OLTL watcher. Which too me means she doesn't know that yrs ago Bo was in the entertainment industry so the backstory didn't make sense to her. But in fact it wasn't made up at all. And for all we know Snoop could have had a role on FR & Bo introduced him to someone in the music industry. That's not farfetched. I don't think it was ridiculous at all. I don't particularly care for Snoop's music or any other rap but I don't have a problem with them suggesting that Bo as a producer had helped Snoop..Sorry I just don't see the big deal. Higley yrs were a big deal to me. OLTL was unrecognizable. But this few minutes of dialgue that gave a nod to history was not....G

Subject: Well, I'm totally biased, because I think the whole stunt-casting of Snoop Dogg and anything / everything connected to it (backstory alterations, opening theme revision) was ridiculous by consequence. I figured that may be where the OP is coming from, as well: That a minor history alteration isn't so out of whack, but that it has to do with ''Snoop Dogg'' is what made it lame. ~Soaker
