I just saw this on TV (they were advertising his concert that is playing in D.C. sometime soon.  I could never get Tom to go :(

I want to hear that Pretty Amazing Grace so bad, but John is watching Walk the Line in here, and all I can hear at the moment is the bass that runs pretty much through that movie, lol! I'll be hearing it in my sleep.

I wonder how old Neil is. I agree with what Gail said here recently - his stuff is so hard to sing, I think because of his range. But his songs are some of the best!

It's a little bit later so I hope you've been able to hear the song by now. Did you like it? I did a search and I couldn't believe what I found out. Neil Diamond is a year and a half OLDER than my husband! Neil was born on January 24, 1941. That makes Neil 66 years old! I wonder where he gets the energy to tour! My hat is off to him! eom mags

Math was never my strong point. Neil is 67, not 66. He's aging faster by the day. eom mags

I read about this when I went to his website looking for the discography so I could find Beautiful Noise.    I listened to that song Pretty Amazing Grace and loved it and the minor chords.    It'll be wonderful having some new Neil music.    :-D     I mentioned the OKC date to Terry and he looked terribly underwhelmed.    I am going to get over that way some time this year because I want to go to the town where my mother grew up.    I haven't been there since I was about 11 years old.    I may pester him for October.    ;-)

Lol - that gives you a LOT of pestering time! I'm excited to have some new music from Neil too. I didn't particularyly like his 2cd set called ''The Movie Album'' with the oldies (real old) songs on it. I hope his new cd is a little bit more like his earlier music. I listened to the one song too and I liked it! eom mags

YAY! I hope I can plan a city trip for that day. I doubt WalMart will have them both. Do they usually have new cds? I have always gotten most of my music at Borders. I did go check my Facebook page a week or so ago. Guess I had better go back. Gail

Again ---- YAY!!! I'm looking forward to Clay's too. Gail - WalMart gets their new cds on Tuesdays. I would bet money that they will have Clay's....not so sure about Neil Diamonds. If you're not going to the city, pre-order it from Amazon. You get it just about the day it comes out I think. It's worth looking into anyway. Thanks Shirla for the Clay update. I'm counting on WalMart to have both of them!! i hope they do, I don't wanna have to go somewhere else to find them. Our wally world usually have them for like 9-13.00 on Tuesdays, then they go up by the weekend. Weird. (ssssssss) I can't wait!
