Message: I made it thru the storms but boy oh boy, it was a little scary there for a while. Our tornado sirens went off shortly after 4 a.m. Friday morning. Nothing like being woke up with sirens blaring. Well, actually I slept thru the sirens but they woke Grayson and hubby up. We had winds, we had rain, we had pea-sized hail, plenty of booming thunder and the scariest lightning I think I've ever seen. A lot of people in this area had roof damage, trees down, the roof of the recycling center was torn off. About 35 miles from us, a 15 yr old girl was killed when a huge tree fell onto the roof of her home, right thru her bedroom where she was sleeping. Very sad.
