Which is a pretty hard thing to do when it's a blow up mattress on the floor!
We are going to have our whole house taking over by my sister's brood tomorrow. Tom and I decided to sleep in the den and give them all the bedrooms.
The den has a single bed and we have a single blow up mattress.
Since I'm so much younger than Tom I stupidly volunteered to take the one on the floor.
In the middle of the night, I was freezing. I tried to get up to get a blanket. This blow up bed is not as firm as I thought!
I got one foot on the floor, tried to stand up, my other foot landed on the mattress which gave in quite a lot, which threw me off balance and down I went.
I smacked my right arm on the TV. Tom thought it was my head! I didn't know the old man could move so fast!
Since I was ok, I started laughing, he thought I was crying and while he was trying to help me up all I could do was laugh and f*rt.
Moral or the story: Be careful when trying to get out of a mattress on the floor! I'm waiting for another huge bruise. I got one last week when I got my arm caught between the sofa and the wall. An afghan had fallen down behind the sofa. My arm went down the back easily enough but it got stuck trying to get it back out. You should see the black and blue mark I got from yanking my arm out!
I'll be scarce this week. 15 people here until Saturday. I have to make a WalMart run today for probably 2 carts of groceries and then do some cooking tomorrow. I'm only responsible for Appetizers, dinner and breakfast for the 1st day!
My sister and I will go back to Walmart on Wednesday where she will pick up a ton of food for the rest of the week. I'm surprised she's letting me cook the 1st meal for when they arrive. She did send me the menu though. Suits me though that she will cook for the rest of the week! :-)
I'll try to peek in to see what you guys have been up to. Snoopy eyes will be all around though so I may not have an opportunity to reply!
Hope everyone has a good week!!

I hope your week goes great!! Thanks for the laugh today.
Fifteen people staying until Saturday? Are ya nuts!?!?! I've never had that many people spend even one night. The most I've had was 6 for a few nights. Everyone in the family came to MY house (in Indiana) for mother's 80th birthday. We had a celebration that lasted several days, but most everyone stayed in a motel. Luckily they could afford it. At that time I think only one of my nieces spent the night with us. Well, she and her hubby and two kids. I do well remember all of the cooking. OMG! My cousin from Texas' wife and JAN helped a lot though.
You poor thing. I'm sure it's funny now, but sleeping on the floor can't be good. I had an email from a friend in IA whose grandson spent three weeks with her. He's two btw. Yipes! Anyway, for some reason she ended up sleeping on an air mattress and the danged thing went down on her three different times. She didn't have much good to say re them. Heh
When I read the topic I was sure it was going to be a Tom story. LOL. But, it was a mags story. You've got talent and the bruise to prove it. I'm sure it wasn't too funny when it happened but, it sure is funny now. You'll have an entertaining story for your guests.
That reaching behind the sofa bruise...I've had many of them...usually happens when I'm company cleaning...you know, the heavy duty stufff. I call those bruises "company bruises".
15 people!!!! oh, my. Well, at least you don't have to do much of the cooking. That's funny that your sister sent you the menu.
Have a fun and sane week!!!
