Interviews: Marissa says Tony is the best teacher ever (awww).
Cristian's sweat is his energy (he says after Carrie Ann asks for more).
Mario compliments Karina's choreography.
Shannon brings up the emotions again (shut up PLEASE)
Edyta says Jason is her superhero.
Tony says Marissa is so sexy out there (awww)
Cheryl said she actually heard Cristian's arm crack.
Kristi talks of the judges' three different personalities.
Karina felt she and Mario redeemed themselves with dance #2.
Shannon talks of the fake boobs, fake butt, fake...whatever. (I'm so done).
Jason had fun with 2nd number and expresses concern for Cristian.

Encore Dance Jason and Edyta (anyone surprised at all??) It was tops!!

Standings:
6th place - Cristian & Cheryl
4th place - (a tie) Mario/Karina and Shannon/Derek
3rd place - Marissa/Tony
2nd - Kristi/Mark
1st - Jason/Edyta

Len announces that the judges are softening towards lifts and IF THEY WISH all couples can do ONE lift next week IF in character.

First Safe Couple: Kristi/Mark

Dance Center: Kenny Mayne/Jerry Rice/Len Goodman
I couldn't catch all of both segments but here are some highlights. Kenny is all made up and he and Jerry are glittered (love it). Mario sings to Carrie Ann. We see Shannon accidentally hit Derek in (Kenny's words) the man area. Len says "hug a judge." As Len is talking about Cristian Kenny cuts him off and says Cris is crazy...more later.

Def Leppard: Not a fan but we are treated to our pros in a full out leather clad Paso Doble - HOT. Great choreography, man can Mark LEAP (woo). The band uses smoke jets and Tom quips they are the only people to blow more smoke than the judges!

I forgot a SAMANTHA moment from last night. While backstage with one couple she was giving them their total and said that's 51 out of thirty!!

NEXT WEEK IS THE 100TH EPISODE (and I wont be here...wah). I will see the tape when I get back...Linda will once again recap.

Dance Center Part Deux:
They call Kristi the Yam and says she has unfair advantage as Jerry calls her YamaGOOCHEE.
They discuss (and show clips of) Mark's facial expressions.
They talk of Tony upstaging Marissa and his WHITE teeth. Not only does Marissa talk fast they speed her up (amusing).
They show Jason doing the same move in several routines which they mimic. Jerry wants him to go all the way. We see funny clips after Jason is caught, um, farting in rehearsal. SO funny.

Next Safe Couple: Mario/Karina (I'm so happy but not jumping up and down YET)

Def Leppard performs again while Jose and Joanna, world champions dance. These dancers are fine but no way no how do they blend with this music and it's just an all around odd segment. Bring back music that works for our pros OR the cirque/Alvin Ailey dancers.

We get a day by day blow by blow description of their week - FILLER.

They speak with Cristian and Cheryl. He ruptured a tendon and needs surgery. The doctor said he can delay if Cristian wants to continue and he WILL!!!!! It's a risk but Cris says no more so than Marlee.

Next Safe Couple: CRISTIAN/CHERYL and Jason/Edyta (WHEW AND PHEW)

Bottom Two Couples: Shannon/Derek and Marissa/Tony (no surprise - they are, imo, the weakest couples)

Going Home: Shannon/Derek (I've said enough)

I can't believe I forgot to respond here. Thanks for the recap, as always, W.E. I figured Jason & Edyta for the Encore Dance but Jason didn't quite get the handstand at the end and I thought that he was going to fall on Edyta. Otherwise it looked like he was having a lot of fun doing it.

Somehow the Def Leppard and pro dancers didn't work with me either. Neither set of pro dancers. Although our regulars and the guests were fantastic as always.

I was really surprised (and happy) that Cristián will stay in because I didn't think he could do that well with that arm. We will find out how things go this week and if he can continue. Once he said he would stay in, I was glad to hear that they were the first couple (of that group) safe. Once he was safe, I knew it would be Shannon and she new it too. She kept talking to Derek and I'm sure she was saying that it was them that were going. Depending on how Cristián does this week, I think Marissa is the next one.

Dance Center was so funny and I was so glad to see it back. Nice to see Len up there with them. I loved some of the comments they said about the celebrities in their status bar on the side.

I can't wait for the 100th episode next week! That should be a lot of fun!!

Whew is right! I was very afraid Cristian was going to go home and I just didn't want either he or Mario to, so I was relieved when they were both safe. Either Shannon or Marissa going would have been okay with me. Shannon and Derek really shot themselves in the foot with their emotional outbursts. Too bad. Although I think her dancing talent was about at the end of its rope too.

Shannon was weakening as others got strong but I truly believe the outburst did them in. Marissa should go next. She's giving 100% but can't hold up. So far the voters are getting it right.eom/WE

A cortisone injection should help Christian with pain and inflammation. What I worry about is the strength of his arm.

I was not disappointed to see Shannon leave - hopefully Marissa will go next week.

I love the bit with Jerry, Kenny and Len.

Have a great time in Vegas!!

I knew it would be a shot but wanted someone else (with knowledge, thank you) to say just what it might be. Hopefully Cheryl will come up with moves for them to excel and him to protect that arm. I am so looking forward to Vegas and won't see any of this until I return. I must schedule better but after the last few weeks I'm going (LOL).eom/WE

It was a great show...especially the ending! And, to think early on I wanted S&D to be in the finals...attitude did it for me.

Dance Center was hilarious...don't remember laughing so much other times. I think Tom is getting funnier each week. Now, if they could just do something with Samantha...she just seems to stumble over words.

I was relieved that Cristian will be staying...hope it doesn't compound the arm injury.

Whew and Phew...funny WE.

I'm really looking forward to next week and the 100th show.

S&D did it to themselves and I bet she could have lasted. People left early in seasons past for a lot less so I'm not surprised at all. The threesome in dance center are hilarious. Honestly I think Tom should comment whenever Samantha makes a booboo and maybe she'd become the next Gracie Allen. WHAT am I saying - I love Gracie Allen (heh). I won't see the show or the results until Wednesday or Thursday. I'm sure the doctor will make sure Cristian is okay to dance and Cheryl will more than likely choreograph for the injury.eom/WE

Works for me!! Derek and Shannon need to grow up. You don't act like that on LIVE tv! And I really really liked them. They blew it. They could've stayed longer, but oh well.... like you said, ''enough said''.

I'm glad Cristian didn't go home, but I don't know how he's gonna be able to dance next week or even rehearse if he needs surgery. But then I don't know anything about dancing injuries.

Yep they were this season's sweethearts (literally) until last week. A shame but I won't miss them. I'm sure there's a plan in place for Cristian should he experience pain and for him to sally forth (lol). Seriously, they will do whatever the doctor (who might be a dance/sport specialist) says.eom/WE
