Topic: Question for Sunday, Oct. 5 *water*

Take a guess: How much water on the globe is salty, how much is fresh, and how much is frozen?

Bunk's studying paid off. She was exactly correct when she said, ''Oceans make up 97% of earth water. 3% is fresh. Of that 3%, 2% is frozen in glaciers, 1% is not (lakes, streams, atmosphere, groundwater, etc.)''

Well, the oceans make up the greatest part... so I will guess 80% salty, 15% fresh and 5% frozen.   Although the polar ice caps are melting at a rapid pace.   :-(

Ok, I have an unfair advantage in this one, because one of the college courses I'm taking right now is Earth Science, with Chapter 3 being "The Water Cycle" which we were just tested on last Wednesday night. Wow good one. I say most of it HAS to be salty (I think) soooo I'll say 60% salty, 20 percent fresh and 20% frozen. !
