2nd grade, Fall 2008

As if it's not enough that he is growing up so fast, he got his first 'love letter' from a girl today. She sits next to him and she drew a picture for him and he brought it home. It shows 2 little airplanes, one pink (hers), one red (his), their wings are touching (she told him it's because they are 'holding hands'). Awwwwwwwwww!!! Then she drew 2 stick figures, one is her, the other is him and he's wearing a crown because she says he is her Prince. I told him that if she wants him to say he loves her, to tell her that the only girl he loves is his Mom! :)

I think your boy is about the same age as my girl. Doesn't it seem like he's changed so much in the last year? I look at pictures of my daughter from last year and she looks like a different person.

What a handsome little boy. And he looks like a sweetheart.

What a great story. You'll be able to embarrass him with that love note for years, once he hits his teens.

I can't believe how quickly he has grown. I hope the rest of us haven't aged that much.

AWWWWW, there he is, one of my favorite little board guys, growing up. No wonder he has a girlfriend, you can tell how sweet he is just by looking at him.

Awww, Suzy, cute kid, cute story! He may grow up to marry this girl... you never know.

It's hard to believe he's in second grade. I remember when you had no kids, then how excited we all were to find out you were expecting. That seems like about 4 years ago!

Awwwww, what a sweet card to a sweet boy. SuGray (my new name for him lol) has grown up so much the last couple of years. He'll be in high school any minute. I always enjoy seeing him. :-)

It is really funny how young it starts... my kids are only 6 and 4, and they already say they have "boyfriends" or "girlfriends", and claim they know who they are going to marry someday.

You need to keep that love letter in his memory box, for sure!
