I loved it!
It's no Father Knows Best or Eight is Enough. What a great cast with real family issues.
What did you think?

I wasn't taping as I watched and was tired so I kept nodding off - must catch a repeat. LOVE Craig T. Nelson and will follow him to any show. Have been a fan of Bonnie Bedelia's since I was a child and she was on my mom's soap.
I never saw the movie or the first failed run but this seems on target (as far as I know from the little I saw through sleepy eyes, lol).

I LOVED IT TOO! I have been waiting patiently to see it since they first announced it was coming after Jay and the Olympics were over.
I really like Craig T Nelson. Always have. And the rest of the cast was terrific too. I like the sister who moved home with her kids. Having sex and getting caught by her son in their undies was priceless. I'm glad she gave the guy a second look. Looks are not everything. (Gawd, did you see the guy she married?? He looked way worse than the fellow from high school.)
I like that they are going with an functioning autistic child. It will be interesting to see what kind of story line they will have with the family. It was so sweet when he walked out and said it was Game Day and everyone jumped up and went to his game! Loved that!
I am marking this as a new favorite... they better not cancel it. I will be really upset!

Message: Yeah, I watched it with my mom. We really liked it. Great ensemble, great acting. The storyline with little Max (the one with Aspergers) really got to me, especially the last scene with Max's dad and grandfather.

Message: Sadly, it conflicted with The Good Wife. I'll have to catch it On Demand. Sounds like Ron Howard and Brian Grazer finally got it right (if you remember they tried this as a comedy several years ago, and it flopped).
