Additional Comments:

Coming down to the wire, just one more week...sniff.

Jason says he loves Len (for the 10) and he's like a play cousin and feels he (Jason) is high octane.
Cristian says Bruuuuuno for his score.
Kristi and Mark send kisses to Bruno and Carrie (not Len, hee) and they pray for votes and have hopes for the freestyle.
Marissa wanted MORE leaps but missed the ONE she had.

Encore Dance: Kristi and Mark's Tango and it's just as wonderful as last night.

The Juniors: Aaron & Rashell have friends with banners and think we're famous. Kym Johnson visits their rehearsal to assist them. He says win or lose we're on TV but winning would be best part. They dance to Mr. Postman. It's adorable and quite entertaining (the criteria) but is it the most entertaining? We shall see.
Len: fantastic, sharp, crisp - little bums flying everywhere (lol)!!
Bruno: sharp and precise arm placement.
Carrie: so cute. Loved it, adorable together.

Samantha has a cute moment with our top four backstage and Tom pretends to cry.

25th ANNIVERSARY SALUTE TO THRILLER: It had some classic MJ moments, some really ODD moments but suffice to say whether you like MJ or not only Michael Jackson can do justice to MJ!! It deserves the tribute but fell short. JMVHO!!

Tom forgets to put the mic to his mouth to say welcome back then does and quips I'm new - such a natural comedic force this guy!

#2 Juniors: Jaryd & Cara: 10 and under. Cara is met by strangers and their school gives them a pep rally and they sign autographs. Maksim visits their rehearsal to assist (Cara says he's cute - YA THINK??). They dance their SAMBA to Istanbul [Not] Constantinople (??). Loved her mouthing the words. They are a smidge more entertaining than #1 team. Tom asks for an autograph and she writes a novel so he must stop her so we can continue - it is only an hour show afterall.
Carrie: choked up. perfect blend of entertainment and technique.
Len: I'd rather watch you than the big ones.
Bruno: adorable and totally entertaining.

#3 Juniors: Bradon & Brittany - 13 and under. Their friends went all out for them especially his baseball team (who ribbed him). Ms. Ashly Delgrosso visits them. She was their teacher and is looking FINE (hope she returns) great to see her. They are smooth, elegant and technically on top. Gonna be hard to beat this team - they're my choice. WOW!
Bruno: truly paso incredible. Finesse and execution.
Carrie: seriously impressed. Unbelievable points of grace.
Len: LIVE these two are the real deal.

USHER performs next week. I'm stoked - love him!!

Samantha interviews the juniors backstage and asks Brittany and Bradon if they become pros on DWTS who do they choose as celeb partners. She says Jesse McCartney and he says any Dallas Cowboy cheerleader.

Tom: (after it's announced all junior couples will go to Disney World) says Brandon would rather go to Dallas.

THE SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST: THE FINAL FOUR...
they all praise each other and point out each strengths. Let the battle begin, then all bets are off. The girls want to take the boys down and the boys say chivalry is dead!!

Our Finalists:
Kristi/Mark
Jason/Edyta
Cristian/Cheryl

as it should be

Going Home Marissa & Tony. They show clips of them and she leaves happy and proud (rightly so).

It's probably too late to post something to this topic, but I suddenly realized why I don't watch SYTYCD, and I didn't know where else to put it. Every year, when they do the promo for the show, they show someone getting hurt. That is such a turn off to me, I block the entire show out. I watched the first season and found a lot wrong with it, but the promos push me over the edge. :-(

Is Len Goodman really only 64? That really makes me feel old...but I guess he's just one of those people who looked old at 36.

  • I had to look it up. Yep he's 64 - I would have guessed older. I suppose he's like Jack Benny - looks 70 but thinks he's perpetually 39.eom/WE

I'm putting an AI question in here so you'll see it. Nigel runs a tight ship on SYTYCD with good results. Do you agree???

Then.....what's his problem with Idol in your opinion??

He seems like two different people.
    Thanks!

    Replies: (list all replies)

  • Interestingly I thought the very same thing. Maybe because he cares more about SYTYCD. He's forever shouting it's praises whenever he can that it gets larger audiences than Idol. He may be EP for both but having his face out there for SYTYCD goes to his head. It's been voted the best of these type shows. You'd think he'd work just as hard at both but apparently not.eom/WE

DWTS was fun..........so glad Kristi and Mark's Tango was the encore dance. How about those Juniors, especially Brittany and Bradon...WOW!!! All these kids were truly amazing. The real little ones were adorable. ''Thriller'' didn't thrill me. Nobody but MJ should perform this. It was a disappointment. Regarding the elimination, Marissa was the correct one to leave. I'll give her credit.....she accomplished more than I ever thought she would. I'd really like to see a Kristi/Cristian finale but I'd be happy with Jason. Hope that Vegas was fun and relaxing!!! Welcome back.

  • I have really enjoyed this season and yes that tango deserved the encore spot. The kids amaze me - I could NEVER do that at that age and I was dancing then - too shy I guess. Thriller was a huge disappointment since that truly was MJ's heyday. No one compares BUT one of the choreographer's from SYTYCD did a spot on routine of MJ's with his own dancers and I HOPED that's who they'd hire. If they were smart they would have BUT different networks/channels - a shame. I'm real happy with our top three. Marissa did a fine job. I feared Cristian wouldn't have the fanbase to stay but wonder if he earned votes on ability and charisma - that's what I think and GOOD for him. Vegas was relaxing but I'm glad to be back.eom/WE

I'm Back and I actually watched while on vacation.  The kids would collapse from exhaustion so what else was there to do?

As far as the dances go:

Kristi and Mark: Loved her tango but I didn't like the jive.  I thought her first jive was better.

Jason and Edyta:  He's great and I liked this Paso much better than the Monday night Football one.

Christian and Cheryl: I was so nervous for him, but again, I wasn't even noticing that he's only using one arm.  He's definitley using the injured one more than last week too so I hope it doesn't get worse.  Good strategy though with keeping the shirt basically off.  Yum.

Marissa and Tony: She did well, but it's definitely time for her to go.  The other three are just much better.  I was hoping that her fans wouldn't turn her into a Marie Osmond and I was glad that she was the one to go.

    Random notes:

    Ugh!  Filler!  Enough!

I FF'd through the whole Thriller thing.  Never liked Michael Jackson and I'm positive I wouldn't like someone else doing Michael Jackson.  From all the comments, it seems like I made the right decision.

I tried to watch the ballrrom kids since everyone else here enjoyed it and sorry, it's still creepy.  As the mother of a 7 year old girl, I wouldn't ever want to see her dance like that at her age.  The dances are way too suggestive for small kids to do and it just didn't look good to me.  I understand that this is how the pro's get to where they are, but I still don't find it entertaining.

I'm really looking forward to the finals next week and as far as I'm concerned, they all deserve to win!

  • I got to see the results show while away last week. I agree - Kristi's first jive was JIVIN'. Again - yes, Jason did much better this time and was more in control of the style. Who notices Cristian's injury when that shirt is open? Woof!! I'm with you on the fanbase. I felt Marissa should leave last week so I was concerned but the voters got it right. You did make the right decision to FF - it wasn't great. It is jarring to see the kids do some of these moves but it really is just dance technique to them. I'll be happy with any winner but want Kristi, Cristian and Jason (in that order). If Cris takes it - that's fine, too. eom/WE

I'm happy with the final three. And would be happier if Cristian wins, but I figure Kristi will and that's okay with me. Because her partner should have been able to stay longer last year with his Cheetah girl. (Or was it the year before?)

Anyway if Cristian or Cheetah girl's boyfriend win, I will be happy. I love Jason, but I don't think he will win, but ya know what? I wouldn't be unhappy if he did win. I like all three couples.

Hated what they did to THRILLER! No one can beat Michael Jackson's dancing. They shouldn't have done his stuff.

Loved the little dancers, but the older kids were FANTABULOUS!!!!!! I love them. I had seen them before somewhere, and liked them. Then seeing them again, a little more grown up, well, they were IT.

Glad Marissa went home. She was on GMA this morning and was very gracious. Good for her. Tony was a doll. And I used to not like him at all. I like him now.

  • LOL, I just said the same thing to my husband. Mark deserves to win after being wrongly ousted (yes) last season. I like all three and up until two weeks ago I would have said Jason #2 but now Cristian is doing SO WELL. Glad for the Thriller tribute but it would have been better to show Michael himself. Oh yeah Brittany and Bradon are tops and if DWTS lasts we'll see them as pro partners in a few years. Tony and Marissa gave all they could.eom/WE

    I loved Samantha's Dress tonight!

I was glad to see Kristi & Mark's Tango for the Encore Dance. The guest singer and dancers were good but it's not what I care to see on this show.

Kid's Ballroom Finals: Those older two were fabulous for such young dancers. I feel that they were way out of the league of the other ones, who I thought were so very good too. But the two younger couples were more even in dancing ability and age. The little girl, Cara, was cute the way she mouthed the man singing. (BTW, you had the correct song.) However, I think the older couple should have been in a separate competition because they were naturally better having more experience than the other two youngest couples. I didn't think this competition was fair. Still, I think they are the ones to win. They were just so good at this age. Imagine what they will be in a few years. And, I remember, she is the girl who is deaf in one ear. It was also nice to see both Ashley & Maksim back again after seeing them dance in the 100th episode last week. Ashley is doing fine for a new mother.

The eliminations were as I expected and you could see that Marissa knew that she was the one to go. I'm glad that she had fun and is upbeat about it all.

    Now, bring on the finals!

  • I meant to mention Samantha's dress - she always looks fabulous. I was happy for the tribute but agree - it didn't fit. I'm very surprised by the three age groups competing against each other for the kids. No matter how good the younger ones were (and they WERE) they are no competition for B&B. Yep Ms. Delgrosso looked fantastic - even slimmer than before she gave birth. Marissa went farther than anyone (including herself) thought she would and has every reason to hold her head high.eom/WE

The finalists...works for me. I'm hoping Kriste wins with Christian second, then Jason.

Marissa...she gave it her all and had fun with it...who'd have ever guessed she make it to the semi-finals? I applaud her.

    The Encore...great seeing Kristi's tango...great dance.

    "Thriller"...didn't thrill me.

The Kids....that was so much fun...the two younger couples were adorable. Brandon and Brittany were fantastic! Their Paso Doble was one of the best I've seen.

    and...on to the finals!!!

  • That's my list, too, but no matter what the order I'll be happy as long as Kristi wins - she deserves it. I read today that folks are still saying she had a leg up but Louis Van Amstel said what many don't know is because of that her choreography is so much harder than everyone else's. I applaud Marissa making the top four - nice accomplishment considering even the judges felt she was an underdog. The kids were unreal - such poise and accuracy!! Only one more week. I'd really be bummed if SYTYCD wasn't starting on the 22nd. Can't wait to see Cat!eom/WE

We just got around to watching last night's show after A.I. tonight.    It was nice to then be able to immediately watch the elimination show.    I was really looking forward to the Thriller dance, and it totally didn't live up to my expectations.   POO!

My least favorite dance has always been the Tango (too herky-jerky for my tastes) but I thought Kristi and Mark did a fabulous job with it.   I'd much prefer Cristian in 2nd place (he can make ya almost not miss Maks) and then Jason myself.   Jason just doesn't move as well (ESP. his feet) as Cristian imo.    We'll see how it plays out though.   Jason is popular and more well known than Cristian.   I think it'll be a shame if Kristi doesn't win though.   She can SO outdance everyone that has ever been on the show.

    Replies: (list all replies)

  • Yep - I thought Jason would take second but it sure looks like Cristian (woo) will sneak in. He is determined and each and every dance is wonderful and has such passion and fun at the same time. Even though Jason is more well known I think voters see what we see (and I don't just mean shirtless Cristian). He excels at all styles and really nails Latin (AND I'll go so far as to say he dances Latin better than Kristi). She should take the win easily and I am so pleased both guys will be there next week. She is the champ and anything else will be upsetting. eom/WE
  • He can have that shirt on or off as far as I'm concerned. Whoa! He has gotten better looking as we've gone along. Gail
