First of all, I'm sorry these are a bit large. When I use "thumbnail", you can hardly see them.

This is Nina, now 4, on her first day of preschool. No, she did not wear the hat or sunglasses! She was modeling items that were for sale at my neighbor's garage sale! (Do you all say "garage sale", or "yard sale")

And here is Joey, 6, on his first day of 1st Grade! He is loving school.

I obviously don't bake enough... they get pretty excited when the Brownies come out.

And finally, The "Star Wars Exhibit" came through town and was at the Minnesota Science Museum for awhile. If it comes through your town, I highly recommend it! I think I had more fun than my kids did. I actually got to touch the costume worn by Harrison Ford... ***sigh*** !!!! My kids love Star Wars, and Joey spontaneously saluted Mr. Vader as we turned the corner. LOL

OMgosh, I nearly missed these pictures, I''m so glad I didn't.  Your children are adorable.  I love the Garage Sale goodies.  Nina is really pretty, and Joey is a very handsome six year old.

Robin would love to see that Star Wars exhibit.  He's very into those movies.

Great pictures. The one of Nina reminded me of my granddaughter a couple years ago. Thanks for sharing these with us.

  • Thanks, Rusty. :) We need to see more pictures of your grandbabies. How is your son doing? Are he and the kids still staying with you? I haven't seen any posts updating us on his situation... I hope he is doing well. Bunk

Oh, they are so so cute! The Star Wars exhibit looks cool but I doubt it'll come to my area, nothing good ever does. lol!

  • Thanks, I think they are pretty cute too. :) You know, the Star Wars exhibit was pretty cool. I didn't expect much going in, but it was amazing. They had all the props, the actual costumes, the real R2D2 and C3PO droids. And they had the life size land speeder that Luke and OB-Wan rode in. I was pretty impressed. Maybe it will come to you, what's the nearest big town? eom Bunk

What cute pictures of such cute kids!    LOVE the one of Nina all dressed up for school.   I even like the sunglasses and hat with it.   LOL    She's dressed up all girl.    :-D

I see we use the same brownie mix, except I buy the Walnut Supreme version.   I've always had people say they're the best brownies they ever had.    I agree.

Thanks so much for sharing the pictures.    I'm glad Joey is liking school!    He's cute too, but boy clothes are boring.   :-)

  • Mmmmm, now I want some brownies. My kids wouldn't go for the nuts tho. Anyway, as far as the boring boys clothes, yes, it is so true! But I almost sent you a picture tonight of Joey and Nina -- they got into HER dress up bin of princess dresses, complete with shoes, crowns and magic wands. It's one of those great bribery pictures when he's a teenager and I'm trying to get him to obey curfew! LOL Bunk
  • Yeah, when he's a teen he will be at your mercy! LOL Gail

They are adorable - how blue are her eyes? First day of school already. Yep, several weeks ago - the summer flew by.

We call it both garage and yard sale. Depends on the person and I guess if they have a garage or not (lol).

  • Thanks W.E.! Yes, her eyes are pretty blue, but it's hard to tell in these low res pictures. I guess I never stopped to think that some homes don't have garages. LOL Being from MN, we need garages because of the yucky weather. I have a garage sale every spring, and the best seller... kids clothes!! They outgrow them so fast. Bunk

Oh my gosh! Look at how cute they are! I can't believe they are so big.

I still call it a garage sale....they call them yard sales down here though.

If you go back up to your college topic, I left you one more comment.

  • Thanks, Jade! I'm on my way back up to find that college topic now... thanks! Bunk

Cute, cute CUTE pics, Bunk! I especially love the brownie pic.

Here, it's yard sale. I think garage sale is a northern thing, because it's cooler in the mornings up there. I know when I lived it Iowa, it was a garage sale. I think Weezer calls them tag sales.

  • Thanks, Doopy. :) Yeah, I've only heard ''garage sale'', even tho it is usually set up in driveways. I think it was the movie ''Toy Story'' where I first heard ''yard sale''. Tag sale? That's a new one! eom Bunk
