Additional Comments:

Okay I'm starting with THE RESULT (grrrr). This is the looooongest results show ever only for one couple to KNOW they would have gone home if Misty hadn't been injured. WHY? Just let them all stay. GEEZ!!! An hour for THAT??

We see recaps and recaps and MORE recaps. We see judge's comments we just HEARD last night.

Instead of the Encore Dance Maks and Edyta (as tribute to Misty) do their jive. Misty is gooood but that routine HAD to be tweaked for Edyta. Then Tom quips (due to Maks' hobo ensemble) it's unusual to see Maks in his street clothes!

More recaps and comments as we go to the leader board.

First Two Safe Couples: Brooke/Derek and Clorky (Cloris and Corky as coined by Tom)

Kool And The Gang: celebrate the 70s with a medley of their hits with pro dancers. This is enjoyable.

MORE comments...oy and sigh!

Next Safe Couple: Maurice/Cheryl

Cloris has another attack of verbal diarrhea. Even Samantha is getting peeved asking her what (she was commenting on) had to do with dance. Tom then says I was trying to figure out what Cloris was saying and then when the migraine set in I just stopped. Looks like another Master P/Sara Evans - they will vote IN the worst. JMO (and most of yours...right?)

Rockettes: I have loved these ladies since I was a child (and know/knew a few). Such glamour, precision and beauty!! Fabulous.

Jennifer Hudson: She is in fine voice, looks wonderful but I'm soooo done I FF (apologies to her and her fans but enough is enough - three guest acts??)!! Derek and Julianne dance. I must forget they are siblings otherwise it's hard to watch (eek) AND Derek gets so rambunctious sometimes - they had a huge gaffe and it was his fault. Wish Mark or Maks was Brooke's partner when he gets over zealous like this.

Dave Scot, Travis Payne and the ever-changing-and-hard-to-recognize Brian Friedman (all choreographers) discuss our pros. Can you say FILLER THAT IS NOT NEEDED!!!

Next Tom and Samantha are mid-dance floor and point out the Bermuda Triangle where most got injured. More freakin' filler....SNOOZE! I don't want to see Misty's injury anymore than Marie's faint but it looks like we will. It's so difficult to witness over and over - what ARE they thinking???

Two More Safe Couples: Warren/Kim and Toni/Alec

NO ONE GOES...son of a Bi...!!! So mean to us and Rocco and Karina. Total waste of most of the hour with a few moments of entertainment. If ever this show was going onto the Jump The Shark webpage - tonight would place them at the #1 spot.

This week's scores will be combined with next week's. Quelle surprise????

Too much filler as usual and why did they reveal the couple with the lowest votes? I don't get the point of that.

Enjoyable -- 1) Maks & Edyta sure do a cool Jive. I'm sure they tweaked it for Edyta, but am still glad they performed the dance.

2) The Rockettes bring back fond memories of sitting in Radio City. Love those ladies!!!

3) Kool and the Gang with the Pro Dancers was a nice segment

4) Jennifer Hudson was Ok but I sure liked her better before her 'vocal transformation', post AI. Derek & Julienne were fun as usual

AS FOR CLORIS---holy sh*t!!! The woman should be GONE. In case anyone is interested, she is the pick of http://www.votefortheworst.com ... That may explain some of her staying power. Rocco isn't long for the show, but c'mon, Cloris should be gone next week. If she's still on, I REFUSE to watch another disgusting display by her.

  • Why indeed? It does very little for them (like they won't try NOT knowing?) and it left a bad taste in my mouth (pun intended since it was the chef). Loved watching Maks/Edyta - cool couple and two of the best. I'm thinking of seeing the Christmas show at RCMH now that I saw the girls! Yep, the 70s tribute was - KOOL. Hudson did fine but Derek almost toppled Jukianne - felt bad for her. There's no doubt many are voting Cloris in just to see what she does. When the numbers go way down (you're not alone in NOT wanting to see more) the judges will score lower and lower. Remember when Rocco got a four and Tom said I didn't remember we had fours? WHERE were her FOURS?? She did not deserve what she got. After the wig flew she was off on a tangent. Judges you're not doing her or US any favors keeping her in. eom/WE
  • According to Tom, the couple with the lowest scores was informed so that they could work harder for next week. Which actually isn't fair because if they do real well, they won't be leaving next week when they really were supposed to leave this week. That's like giving them a second chance. They would have had a second chance anyway without being told, but this way they definitely know what is cut out for them. Carrie Ann seems to be the main reason why Cloris is getting higher scores than she should. She keeps giving her a 6 because she is adding points for ''entertainment''. The two guys have been consistent with their 5's although they could go lower too. Maybe things will change this week. They went down to 3's for Master P. ~ eom. Linda
  • Exactly Linda. Naming who would have gone helps no one and only embarrasses Rocco/Karina, imo. Carrie saw entertainment? Where? Even the 5s were too high. eom/WE

We finally got the show watched last night right before time for the results show.   I was so disappointed when they announced Cloris was staying!   I hope the voters wake up and kick her off next week.    And I hope even more that next year they don't pick someone who will keep getting votes long after it is time for them to go.   It happens every year.   Although last year it seems like it didn't last as long.

Brooke is so far above the rest of the pack at this point.   I absolutely hated Toni's dance this week (OMG on ruining Fur Elise lol) but I think she is a good dancer.    I don't get all the Warren love.    I DO get that he is very likable.   I'm talking about his dancing.    Ummmmm, just okay imo.    But it looks like I'm in the minority on that opinion.     It has seemed to me like the judges have it in for Cody and Lance (who were scored lower than I thought they should be if they scored Warren that high.)     I like them both.

Who else?   I can't remember this morning.   Am just having my first cup of coffee.   I've been up since 7:00, but busy doing this 'n that.  Enjoyed the entertainment last night.   Have always loved the Rockettes and liked all of the other dancers too.    I FF thru a lotta the other stuff though.

Last but not least, I am still in mourning that Misty and MAKS are gone.   Poor Misty!   To go through all that Volleyball and then go on a dance show and sustain such an injury was pretty sad.   I was glad to see he and Edyta do their Jive last night.   Love me some jive anyway.     :-D

  • I think many were disappointed when Cloris was safe - it's getting beyond absurd. If they don't kick her off and others go before her we'll see the judges scores go lower and lower to counter - they have to. Toni is fine and Alec tried to make a mark. Loved by some and hated by others. I kept waiting for something else to happen and it never did. Brooke and Warren are pulling it out - she is clearly in front. As for Cody - Carrie said it best. We can see him counting and thinking. He's got to relax and enjoy more. Rockettes! Oh yeah! IF Misty had to get injured I'm just sooooo happy she took her gold medal first - I watched her and Kerri throughout and didn't even know she'd be on DWTS! I'll miss Maks and MARK!! Wish either of them were dancing with Brooke. The jive was wonderful but wish they showed rehearsal footage of Misty and Maks doing it THEN he and Edyta. I wanted to see Misty. eom/WE

I had to go to a meeting at my daughter's school last night and walked in the house at 8:55.  Just in time to see that Rocco and Karina would have gone home.  I had a feeling they wouldn't send anyone home.  But I have to say this: I'm not a Rocco fan, BUT in no way should Cloris be there after him.  If these "fans" of Cloris' had any respect for the woman, they'd send her home immediately.  It's painful to watch her.

I was surprised they went for the full hour last night.  I figured if they aren't sending anyone home they should have ended the show after 30 minutes and let the network talking heads kill a half hour before the debate.

    Replies: (list all replies)

  • I understand they want to keep the hour but it got so tiring and we knew no one was going yet they played with us as if someone were. That and Rocco and Karina must do what exactly? It's not like he's not trying. As ridiculous as people voting Cloris IN because she's bizarre. eom/WE
  • I agree W.E. I never understood the mentality of fans keeping someone in who is obviously not good. Sara Evans (thanks again), Marie Osmond and Master P come to mind. Add Cloris to that list!
  • I was talking DWTS this morning with my 80 year old dad. He is appalled at the behavior of Cloirs...says she is an embarrassment to his generation. :)Tori

I think because Misty's injury happened so close to the Performance show, that they didn't have time to reorganize the Results show. Also, they had that time set and ABC probably didn't have anything else to put in for the last half hour or the whole hour if they would have announced that there would be no elimination at the end of the Performance show. Since they went the way they would have gone if someone were to be eliminated tonight, this is what we would have gotten anyway. The guest entertainers and all this filler was already planned, with a possible exception of the injury filler. I wonder if that was added at the last minute. If there was a change and the injury filler was put in, I wonder what we would have gotten instead? I hope as the weeks go on and the number of couples goes down, they go to a half hour Results show. What are they going to do for an hour when they only have six or seven couples?

I thought was so nice of Maks to show his and Misty’s dance in honor of her with Edyta. It was a cute dance and I could just see Misty doing it, but I also wondered if there were changes since Edyta is a pro. She didn't dance in the sneakers that Misty talked of dancing in. I think Misty would have done a great job!

Loved the pro dance with Kool and the Gang’s performance. The Rockettes were wonderful as usual. I love watching their kick lines. Jennifer Hudson sang well but I have heard that song several times and it still doesn’t do a thing for me. Neither does Jennifer’s performance. She seems to do much better in a show as an actress singing than just standing and singing. She just stands with her hand on her hip and doesn’t seem to have much emotion. I did love seeing Julianne and Derek dancing to Jennifer’s song. They are so amazing! I guess I missed the problem with Derek. I might have to watch it again.

If we have to have filler, it was nice to have something on the pro partners for a change and their choreography. Even though the injury segment was some more filler, I did find it interesting because I didn’t know about some of the injuries. I didn’t know that Derek was hurt again this season. Somehow I must have missed that. At first I thought they were talking about his neck injury last season until I saw it was Brooke with him and not Shannon. What I continue not to understand is why, every time they talk of injuries, do they constantly avoid talking about Kim Kardashian’s foot injury that came just two weeks before the start of the show? It made a lot of news articles but nothing on the show itself.

I had a feeling that it would be Rocco, especially if Cloris didn’t go. He got a reprieve, though, because of Misty but I still wonder how this season is going. They are still one couple more than they were before at week three or going into week four. Do you know if the season is extended by one week or will they do something different for the finale? The only other thing would be another double elimination but they had their chance this week and didn’t take it so something else must be planned.

Looking forward to the Samba and Tango next week. Which one do you think Cloris will do or should I say, mess up? LOL! Nice recap, W.E.!

  • They didn't need to reorganize - just don't play with us or their contestants. I felt it was cruel and beneath what the show stands for. Producers need to look at this closer - what if there's another injury and couple out? Are they going to continue filling this time? I liked Maks doing the Jive w/Edyta but they said Misty would return in another season to do it. Guess they're afraid they might not still be on by the time she's healed? (lol). I think Misty would have done it well but no way would she have done what Edyta did. JMO. I liked all 3 guests but never saw that much of JH to judge performance. Derek's problem was his mouthing off to the judgres last season when his girlfrined (and partner) didn't get the numbers they wanted. Wrong of a pro/choreographer (she mouthed off, too) and he slammed others as well - not good. Since Kim's injury didn't appear to be all that bad or to hinder her - they left it out. I don't know about the season length but maybe 2 will go towards the end?? I've stopped trying to guess what Cloris will do (heh). I was shocked when I saw her in a JIVE outfit. Corky - rein her in please. eom/WE
  • That's true. They could have come out with the non-elimination right away. Since there have been more injuries since the last two seasons, they really should have plans for ''in case''. I kind of wondered about that Jive between Maks & Edyta, too, but maybe they thought in case she doesn't heal the way she hopes and it was a nice jesture. Even if Misty does come back to perform, that won't be for a couple of years. I just saw this morning that it will take her nine months of rehabilitation before she can go on the volleyball court again and she says that she wouldn't mind being asked back on the show. But, yes, Edyta did a lot more than any contestant would. Other than AI, I have only seen JH in ''Dreamgirls'' but I have seen her perform this song to promote her album on several talk shows and she has done it the same way. No expression and hand on hip. She is boring as a stand-up singer, and I'm not crazy about the song. I'm not the only one who has commented on that either, from things I've read. When I said that I didn't see Derek's problem, I was referring to the gaffe you said that he made with Julianne. I watched it over again and still didn't see it. I know he has an attitude problem. I was so sure that Cloris was going to do the Viennese Waltz. Why they ever gave her the Jive is beyond me. That's why I have no idea what she will do next week, the Samba? Oh, help us! ~ eom. Linda
  • Ohhh I misunderstood. It was right after the lift/spin. He pulled too hard and she (actually) improvised and almost fell. She can cover anything but that was obvious for me. Plus you can tell by the look on her face as she goes on and quickly recovers. eom/WE
  • Thanks, I'll check it out again. ~ eom. Linda

I really don't have much to say. My spirit was ruin when Cloris was the second one safe.

The Rockettes made me smile...love 'em. Kool and the Gang was fun. Jennifer Hudson was fine. Liked the Jive with Maks and Edyta.

The rest of the show bored me and it was cruel, again, to make everyone wait only to find out no one was leaving.

I must confess...when they were talking about injuries this past week and mentioned Derek I couldn't help but think how nice it would be if Mark would have had to take over for him. I think Brooke and Mark would be awesome. And, Derek hasn't completely redeemed himself from last season and his immaturity and rudeness...still a bit of attitude.

  • I couldn't believe she was second and started wondering WHO could be worse. Loved the guests but too many watching late and trying to recap.I wonder if they were told before hand no one was going but they'd be told WHO might have left so they could still have that deer-in-the-headlights look on their faces. I'm with you about Derek - mouthy brat plus I don't like the way he treats Brooke. She is a lovely married lady and deserves more respect and for him to keep his hands off (lol). I get peeved when they get touchy feely backstage. It's one thing to kiss on the cheek and hug when they do well but he's practically got her in a headlock. I thought the SAME about Mark. eom/WE
