Well, thanks to Weezer's comment on my post (well, she mentioned Blood Pressure but that's not a problem but did cause me to look at the meds I WAS taking - Zocor, or generic version, for lowering my cholesterol), I looked up the side effects of statins.  I nearly fell over when I read what I found.  Besides finding out that swollen feet, extremities was a side effect  but also blurred vision, joint aches, nausea, anxiety attacks, HEADACHES, etc... so many things I have recently noticed but just attributed to getting older..  I mean there were other people who were describing some of what I was experiencing.  I'm totally stunned.  Since I stopped taking the meds a few days ago, my feet are about back to normal now... they look like feet again.   Now, I will admit that I stopped wearing the crocs waiting for my feet to go down.  I'll try wearing them again now that I'm not taking the meds and see if they swell again.   I'm more and more convinced that it was those cholesterol meds because since I stopped taking them, I'm feeling better in general as well.  Really, my knees have been hurting a lot lately and I've just not had any energy (OK, I attributed that to lack of iron and still could be that).

I'm going to hunt for some natural cholesterol lowering methods even if it means eating oatmeal everyday.  And I'm sure there are some natural supplements out there as well.

Just wanted to let ya'll know.

Glad you figured it all out. If you find a substitute for oatmeal I'd love to know it. I hate oatmeal.

(I'll leave you to your own interpretation of ONE)

So glad you are feeling better!! I take Fish Oil capsels. I don't have high BP , but my husband did and now it's down because of the FO. Ask the Dr. or at the Health Food Store. Now get on out there and do some Croc Walkin!! (sounds like a line dance eh?)

That is why I have avoided going on Zocor or anything like it.    I'm highly sensitive to meds and don't want to take the chance.   I'd rather take my chances with the high cholesterol.   I did get mine down 50 points just by eating cheerios every morning.   Good luck!
