Additional Comments: Am I right in thinking this was the first new one in a while? Anyway, it seemed to pick up where the last one I watched left off. So, Sam and Gates didn't waste any time. I like them together as a couple. Something about them fits together. Luka and Abby, well, I really hope they work things out. I've always liked them together too. I'm not liking this new doc already. He seems like a pompous, know it all. And obviously quite the man-ho. Loved it when Pratt threatened him. You go Pratt! And as always, I got a laugh from Archie. I don't know how much longer this show will be around, but as long as it is - I will be a loyal viewer.

I felt really disconnected because of all the time between the last episode and this one. I really enjoyed the Archie scenes, too. I would have been happy to volunteer to zap him! He was one of my least favorite characters but I think he was the best part of the show Thurs. When he started on the show was he the one who was OCD or am I confusing him with someone else?

As to Abby and Luka, hmmm. I have been disenchanted with Abby for a while now. But I also became disenchanted with Luka too with his last storyline. however, absence helped me get over that in this episode. I certainly don't want Abby staying without Luka, so I guess that means I don't want them to split.

I don't know how they would bring back all the originals since most of the characters there now wouldn't even know them. Not to mention some of them are dead. (They need a Rocket Romano character who was so terrible but so funny and endearing somehow.)

Where were Lucien and Skye?

And I still hate Gates and Sam together. I think he is too good for her. I used to really like Sam but the past couple of years-eh... Never quite understood her moving away from Luka.

It is not the same but I continue to watch.

I can't remember if Archie was OCD or not - all I can remember about him was that when he first came on the show he came off as very incompetent as a doctor. He stood back and watched everyone else work on the patients, but took the credit for anything he could get it for. Maybe some of it was just laziness. And he was a major a**hole. I couldn't stand him in the beginning. I think they've turned his character around now. He has proved to be quite a good doctor at times, and has a likeability to him now. I know there's really know way to let all the old characters make appearances. But it would be nice if they could just stop by the hospital - you know, just to say hello as they were passing through Chicago. LOL. If they could just work them in somehow! cass1971

Dax) Morris didn't have OCD - can't remember which short-term person did... (Leguizamo's guy was pretty totally nuts, even at the start...) / Morris was a major incompetent in his earliest appearances, definitely.

I watched it. Next year is supposed to be, finally, the last season. It's about time! This season, I'm afraid, was fairly bad. A couple episodes were almost unwatchable. I hate saying that but it's how I feel. Anyway, it's been announced that the upcoming 15th season will be the last one and I hope the show goes out with some dignity. That might be hard but if they can get back some old favorites for guest appearances, it'll help. Carter is already apparently coming back for four episodes, I believe. Just as long as he doesn't spend all his time in that boring Africa storyline! I want him back at County.

I've always liked Luka and Abby so I want a happy ending for them. I have a feeling it might be more bittersweet, though.

Sam and Gates leave me cold. Sam first came on the show with so much potential, then her relationship with Luka didn't click and she's been in many badstories. If not dead-end, they were just annoying ones. Like the one with the nurse mentor, Eve, which flopped and Eve was gone pretty quickly. Pointless! Also Sam's job working for Armand Assante. That went nowhere. Her ex coming on the show was predictable and the story was resolved in far too pat a way. At least bratty Alex is gone but that plot was also mishandled. I would like to see GOOD story for Sam because she could be very interesting if given a fair chance.

The new doctor, I don't know. Too early to say how I feel about him. I had a bit of trouble understanding his accent but not too much. A word here and there escaped me. I'm forever listening to audios where the voice actors are not American, so I'm very used to deciphering accents.

I must have missed something along the way. Since Luka quit, who IS the head of the Emergency Department?

I thought on the last few episodes the new blonde doctor - have no clue what her name was - but her and the head surgeon guy (have completely forgotten his name too, the one who had the hots for Neela at one time) was the head of the ER. Didn't see her at all on Thurday night's episode. So, I don't know. I would also love to see Carter back at County, not Africa. I wish all of the original cast would make atleast one appearance before the show ends. cass1971

Dax) Haven't seen Thursday's yet, but yeah, I thought Kari Matchett's character (Skye Wexler) was still the interim chief, unless Pratt was successful in getting Anspaugh to give him a chance... (surgeon name you were looking for - Crenshaw...) // Carter will be in Chicago, not Africa, next time around.

I have never liked Abby and Luka together so I'm rooting for a divorce! She never ever appreciated Luka like he should be appreciated!!! Abby is such a b-witch and always pitiful! I hate the new hunk. Well, I probably wouldn't mind him if I could understand a word he says!!! He talks like he's got a mouthful of marbles and with the accent, well, forget about it!! We just kept cranking the sound up but it did no good as he really does not enunciate! It's going to be a chore for me if he's on very much!! I, too, have never missed an eppy of ER and will watch it until the very end!!!!

To me the whole show is always really low and hard to hear. I tape the show so my husband can watch it too, and I am constantly rewinding so I can hear what someone said. But yeah, the new guy was even harder to understand at times. I also get what you're saying about Abby. I've never thought she loved him quite as much as he loved her. But I've hoped maybe the thought of losing him would make her see what she's got. cass1971
