Its no secret I am a huge Brothers and Sisters fan. I've watched every episode religiously. I save them all to my DVR. When I am bored, I watch them. I can recite some lines by heart. I own Season one and I have watched it over and over and over again. I tell people all the time what a wonderful show it is. Some may call me obsessed and I will proudly say yes, indeed I am.
For the first time in two years I am truly disgusted with this show. I cannot believe Rebecca is not a Walker. I cannot believe that after more than a year of this family getting used to this new addition, the audience also embracing her as a Walker, we suddenly get this new twist. Is it really neccessary? After all her lying, I was beginning to like Holly again. Rebecca was really growing on me. I loved her growing relationship with her "brothers and sisters". Now what's going to happen? Are we the audience suppose to accept Rebecca as a romantic interest for Justin? Ewwwww!!!
Anyone else feel this way or is it just me and my family? My mother who I got hooked on the show at the beginning of this season, called to tell me she turned off the TV once Rebecca got her test results. Are we the only ones turned off by this?

I just wanted to post about Sarah grabbing that ice cream carton out of the fridge after the party. I totally agree with her - Dreyer's vanilla is the best! (You could tell it was a Dreyer's carton at first, though after that they blurred the logo.)
And I, too, thought Rebecca looked amazing in that blue dress; whew. She's a beautiful young actress, who has quite a future on this show regardless of her parentage, I think.

This has been my favorite network drama since it came out and I also have told everyone to watch it. I didn't have the ick factor thing go on, just was disappointed with the plot turn for Rebecca's character. I think it's all for the increased drama/tension for the viewers. It gives the writers different tangents to go on. I don't think Holly wanted to know Rebecca might not have been a Walker. I don't feel it will be deceit on her part, maybe just her wanting to be more connected to Daddy Walker (forgot his name). Now they can drag Holly through the mud again, so she can be the wicked character again for a while. She certainly needed more storyline. I was more bothered that they were maybe writing Nora's part out of the show, but they put us all to ease with that pretty quick. Great show!

I agree with the poster below - if Rebecca isn't a Walker by blood, she'll be a Walker by marriage. Hopefully, though, not for another season or so. I also think that they're only have Rebecca still 'pretend' to be a Walker for plot-timing purposes in order to have her be the one to help save Ojai Foods by announcing that she's not deserving of the trust fund William left her, because she's not really his daughter, and that she wants the money to go toward paying the interest on the $20 million dollar bank loan, thereby giving the family business a temporary financial fix while they figure out a longer-term solution.
Also, I don't mind bringing Holly back to square one. This could reignite the Holly-Nora dynamic, which had nowhere to go of late. Holly will still be involved with Tommy at the winery.
On another note, why does Scotty put up with Kevin's constant put downs?

The only reason that I am disgusted is because the lie (by Holly) was blatant and Mr. Walker – can’t remember his name at the moment – died thinking that child was his. Then the whore threw it in the family’s faces while they were trying to deal with his death.
So what does this mean for Holly? Didn’t he leave her money (because) of their daughter? Or am I remembering that wrong?
I really don’t care that Rebecca isn’t a walker because they love her like she is but I do wish that she hadn’t lied about it.
I have never liked Holly and this just put a larger nail in her coffin as far as I am concerned.
Maybe she will be made to give that money back which would serve her right.

I think it's a great plot twist and totally in character with Holly --to lie about the parentage of Rebecca to keep her lover - the lover who had money. I believe there was always an attraction between Rebecca and Justin (didn't she look fantastic in that blue dress last night?)
But here's the thing I hated. As angry as Rebecca was at Holly for lying to her all those years, how could Rebecca do the exact same thing and continue the lie? Just because she wants to feel part of the Walker family? Her actions also clarify something else. She'd much rather be a sister to Justin than his girlfriend. Justin's attraction to her (although he's fought it) is now understandable since they're not related. I don't think there's a real "ick" factor here. It's not like they were raised together. They've only "known" each other as brother and sister for a year at the most.
I wish she had told the truth. Now it's a situation of "Like Mother, Like Daughter" - but of course, that's a good plot twist, too.
