Topic: Survivor (May 2 episode)!

Additional Comments:

What did everyone think of this episode? I loved it!

Visits from "loved ones" (though annoyingly, half the people seemed most interested in discussing what they smelled like--YUCK!), James' medical problems, the issue with the women vs. Erik, Amanda on Exile Island, and Tribal Council: It was really interesting.

I was disappointed that James left in such a manner, but if his hand was that bad... I have a minor finger infection right now and that's annoying enough. He was much worse than I am. I hope he did come out of it all right.

As for Amanda going to Exile, the others were stupid to assume she truly didn't have the idol after she returned. For all they knew, she could have hidden it, for one thing. Maybe they did consider the chance that she had it, and those scenes simply weren't shown. But even then, they should have divided their votes in a better manner or else targeted a different player till they knew for sure about Amanda and the idol.

The looks on the women's faces when Erik won immunity were priceless, BTW!

As for Tribal Council, Amanda did a good job of pretending she didn't have the idol. I was guessing she did, but not positive because we only just saw her digging for it, not finding it. More suspenseful that way! When she pulled it out, that was one of the best Survivor moments ever. I loved the jury reactions, too. And the expressions on the faces of some of the remaining women... hahaha!

So the voting rebounded on Alexis, which was pretty much okay with me because I barely remember anything about her. Maybe she's done some great scheming that hasn't made an impact with me (I feel the same way about Natalie)--whatever, I will not really miss her. She did go out with good grace, and her farewell clip was nice. No sour grapes from her.

What did everyone else think?

One of the best Survivor shows ever!   I am an Amanda fan actually.  So I was happy to see her turn the tables on the women.   I bet Cirie is sorry she voted the way she did and more than a little put out about it.   I would like to see Cirie, Amanda and Pavarti as the final three.

I can't stand Natalie.  Old sour-face who thinks she is SO bad.   The way she went on the week before about destroying the men was sick!

I can't wait for the jury questioning.  It should be fantastic!   So much bittercakes!

I LOVED this episode and was definitely cheering, but also so annoyed that Parv and Amanda didn't get rid of Natalie. At this point she is far stronger. They were worried about Alexis getting more jury votes, but let's take one step at a time. Get rid of Natalie, she is more the master mind than Alexis. Plus, with Alexis's bad knee, she will either be taken out of the game because of it, or will be weak in challenges because of it...either way is better for Amanda and Parvati. She will either compete and suck, or be taken out and then you get rid of her AND Natalie. I wonder if some old grudge feelings towards Alexis came out this. I know Amanda didn't like Alexis swooping in on Ozzy a while back...either that or way more goes on that they don't show, because to me, it didn't make sense to keep Natalie and vote Alexis. However, regardless of who is gone, I just loved the blindside and watching the reactions! I guess that's why Amanda was so adamant with Cerie by asking, "I need to know, if things weren't like this, would you be with me and Parv?" and she said yes....I guess that was Amanda's way of checking out loyalties.....can't wait for next week!

  • My guess is Amanda was asking Cirie that, so she could feel out wether she could trust her to tell her about the idol or not and from the looks of it she did tell her
  • I agree....in fact, I meant to convey that, but I wrote that response really quickly, and didn't elaborate as much as I would have liked. I agree that she asked Cirie that to check to see if, under different circumstances, would she have been with Amanda and Parvati. Now she will have to decide whether or not she can believe her. The others sure didn't hide the fact they want amanda gone !! /Skullys Girl

I loved the blindside.  I have enjoyed the previous two as well.  I do agree that Amanda would most likely win with the jury that they have, although she has not really played the game till Ozzy was voted out.  I wanted James to win, but now I am looking more for Cirie.  I really don't like Eric, what is up with that hair it always looks like he has it brushed and feather out he remindsme of a lion. I can not stand NATALIE, I think she thinks she is in charge of the game, what the Hell is that think she wears around her neck.  This season has had some great moments!  In the future i would like to see the tribes merge sooner and often, this way the alliances are broken up more and see more interaction.  I also like the immunity idol but I wish the rules were a little different like you must play within 3 tribal councils or it is taken away from you, this way they get played more.

  • Looking at Eric's hair makes me think of pop idol Leif Garrett back in the day. I like Eric though, mainly because he is from Pinckney, and I'm from Ann Arbor which is right down the road.....psychdiva

Awesome, Awesome...  I was sad that James had to leave the way he did.  But it must really have been bad for him to have to lug that IV bag around (not that it was heavy, just cumbersome).  I'm so glad that Amanda was able to blindside the OTHERS.  They were all so open and confident "We're voting you out"   So it was no not knowing whether she should play it or not.  She KNEW she had to play it.  And loved how before the vote they made the comments about how smug they were to be voting her out.  The look on the Jury's faces was PRICELESS.

Great Episode!  One of the best.

I really loved last nights episode also,  I really hate that James had to leave the game though.  Amanda hasn't been my favorite either,  but I did love her last night.  I think the main reason I was rooting for her last night is because I found Alexis and Pavarti to be so annoying.  Amanda is a pretty good actress,  I loved the long face when she was at tribal council,  and talking about how everyone was going to vote her off.  I really got the feeling that Cirie was glad,  because I really don't think she wanted to vote for her.  It will be interesting next week,  I hope that Eric finds a way to stay in the game,  I would love to see him Cirie and Amanda in the final 3 with Eric or Cirie winning.

I really don't care for Amanda, but it was so great seeing her pull out that idol!  The people on the jury seemed to enjoy it as well.

You're right, in that Alexis didn't make much of an impression on me, either.  All I can really recall about her is that she was hugging up with Ozzy, much to others dismay a few weeks back.  With her sore leg, it would have made a lot more sense to get rid of Natalie, who is a stone cold bitch.  I'm thinking Cirie and Eric were thinking "Uh-oh...I should have voted with Amanda after all."

The previews showed Eric saying all the women were trying to get him into some kind of a deal with him.  It looks like the Amanda, Parvati and Cirie plan, if it were still in effect, would kick Eric and Natalie off.  You never know how it goes, though.  I think everyone is correct that Amanda would win with the jury.  Amanda's smart staying with Parvati, for sure, 'cause there's enough people hating Parvati.

I'm sorry about James' finger, and I certainly hope they caught it in time and that it will be fine.  But I'm glad he's gone.  Who do I like that's left?  NONE of them!  Eric seems to be the best of the lot, but he's about as bright as a small appliance bulb...with bad hair.

It's odd that so many people have left the game without being voted off, yet, they always have a tribal council.  In the past, I recall they skipped a vote when someone left.  That should trim a few episodes off the season for some reason.

  • I too think they should have gotten rid of Natalie instead of Alexis, as for Cirie thinking oh no she should have voted with Amanda, from what i read elsewhere in the insider video from CBS when Cirie voted she said -We both know this is just going through the motions. It doesn't mean anything. All part of the plan- So that would lead me to believe she did know that Amanda had the idol, that and she didnt look surprised she was smiling when Amanda used it. As for the show last nite It was good but I enjoyed the previous blindsides this season way more and a few others in previous seasons, but it was still good
