Subject: Younger male/female performer has always been under 25. Many have won close to that age. It seems odd that twenty somethings are nominated with the kids but it's always been 25 and under.

Subject: I thought it was VERY rude of Kristoff St. John to make that 'kids' Emmy' remark. Two people that night won a so-called 'kids' Emmy' and he didn't need to belittle anyone's achievement in that manner. I'm pretty sure the age limit for the Younger Actor/Actress categories used to be much lower but it was raised when they had trouble finding enough quality nominees who were that young yet had good story. IMO, the age limit is too high now and could be dropped by several years. eom/lisa3

Subject: The problem I have w/the age bracket for the Younger Actor/Actress categories is that you can easily end up w/10 yr olds going up against 20-something parents! There was one year where there was a 7 or 8 yr old child going up against a guy who was 20-something & a father! Then there was the year that Sarah Brown (ex-Carly/GH) won, when she was pregnant, & her 'competition' were girls who were over 8 yrs younger than herself! The cutoff for 'Younger' should be 18. There are LOTS of very talented kids out there, who should be competing against themselves, not adults. eom
