**** oh my god Leo they’re…” Emily was speechless looking at the sparkly diamond earrings that he presented to her in a gift box, while an unsatisfied look appeared on Sean’s face. “they must have cost a fortune,” Emily states as she begins to try them on. “ah your worth it,” Leo mentions smiling cutely at her. “well be careful sunshine, some might get the wrong impression,” Bette winked at Leo.
So I guess work is going good then Leo?” Sean asked. “you could say that, but I have dad to thank for that,” Leo says. He was grateful that he had a good relationship with his father unlike Sean. There was so much advantage in having a parent around you that you know would help you through no matter what. Although for Sean that wasn’t probably the case. There was only one way according to his father and that was the “
Well just remember son you have a lot to make up to me after dropping out of school,” AJ reminds Leo. “oh come on dad I thought I already told you why I did. I hated the course and besides- you lied to me Leo,” AJ interrupts making him aware. “I’m sorry,” he apologises. “yet I couldn’t be more proud of you as I am now.” “thanks dad,” Leo thanked him. “well I’ll see you back at work, shall we Bette,” AJ gestured for Bette to hold him by the arms. “well certainly and
“I thought little dimples Trey?” Leo questioned confused. “well your much cuter then him. Just look at these dimples when you smile,” Emily pinches him on the cheek. “well what can I say, I founded the great Dationel looks, me and my brother,” pronounces proud. “well it’s a shame we can’t say the same about your father,” Emily comments and they both burst into laughter while Sean only smiled bored. “well not everyone inherits good looks from their parents, look at Sean for instance,” Leo illustrates as Emily kept laughing. The only problem was Sean wasn’t finding it amusing. “his mums beautiful and his dad is alright looking, so what happened to him?”
maybe I’m grateful I have turned nothing like my parents especially my father,” Sean said seriously. “mate it was just I joke.” “not a very funny one.” “then maybe you should get yourself a sense of humour,” Leo suggests. Eyeing Leo for a few seconds Sean was ready to leave. “come
**** Antonio walks into the police station. He was surprised to see Gabi getting a refill of coffee. Her has gone longer to her shoulders. It suited her she looked better in longer hair, he thought. “Antonio!” Gabi took noticed of the handsome priest, while Antonio only smiled. Her dark eyes widened filled with happiness yet surprised. “what are you doing here?” she asked. “I didn’t know you walked here again?” “yeah I got my old job back,” Gabi informs him. “so I guess you’ll be working with Ricardo and your sister huh?” Antonio asked. “something like that. Its better to face my demons then pretend they don’t exist.” Antonio nodded. “just remember I’m here if you want to talk or if something’s bothering you. And take little steps instead of big ones.” She only smiled gratefully, sometimes how she wished Ricardo could be more like him. But she then remembers her conversation with Maria:
“Gabi listen to me, if you have feelings for Antonio you can not pretend they don’t exist that you can push them aside hoping they will disappear. Its going to come out in a most unexpected way, and all you going to do is not only hurt yourself but you will hurt both my brothers,” Maria explains.
“so what are you doing here then Father?” Gabi asked, reminding her that Antonio and she can never be. What Maria said was true. As far as she’s concerned she wanted Ricardo back despite there was some quality of Antonio she preferred and there was no ways she was going to allow her sister back into his life more then just friends. She couldn’t help herself but that side of selfishness and jealousness comes back every time she sees Paula. All the pain and competition she’d been through with her father, it scarred her deeply.
“actually I came to see Paula,” Antonio mentioned, while a frown appeared on Gabi’s face, thinking what for. But remembering that Paula lives with him and Maria, it could be for any reason. But it did make her wonder. “well she’s around somewhere,” Gabi says looking around, as Paula walked out one of the interviewing room, dressed a black jeans and a red armless V neck vest. She too had grown her black hair longer and for the first time the resemblance between both the sisters was obvious.
“Antonio hey,” Paula walked up to him. “what’s happened now?” she asked thinking more fireworks has sparked at the house. There was always a new story waiting for her when she got home from work. “nothing much, look your not busy are you?” Antonio asked her. “not really why?” “I need to talk to you about something.” Something was worrying Antonio she knew. “sure, come through here,” she walked in front of him as he followed her into one of the spare interview rooms…”
**** Casey remained quiet not knowing what to say to his mother. “well say something,” Alex wanted to know what Casey thought. “look Mum I know you and Gregory have a past together, I just don’t want him hurting you,” Casey mentions worried. “hey no one is going to hurt me, and besides the only person that’s going to be doing all the hurting is me,” Alex demands. “I just want you to be happy.” “he does make me happy…he and I we have a lot more in common then you’ll think.” “I know you do otherwise you wouldn’t be such good friends,” Casey mentions. “thank you honey you don’t know how much this means to me,” Alex says hugging him…
**** so what’s wrong?” Paula asked Antonio. “I’m just worried about Ricardo,” Antonio lets out. Paula was confused. “why, has something happened?” Antonio shakes his head not sure whether to tell Paula or not. “his taken the whole thing in getting even with the Cummings family deeply.” “how do you mean?” “I’m just worried because I don’t what he will do to them Paula. Look what he did to Ben. He made his life hell for almost five whole years, and what are chances of the Cummings get off lightly. I’m mean look what he did to me and Gabi,” Antonio comments. “its just seems to me his begging to live in the world of revenge and making sure he makes them pay one way or another. I’m actually surprised he has lasted this long.” “well maybe that’s a part of that’s changed. Maybe Ricardo has mellow down a little. Or it could be his not acting upon anything only not to hurt Maria,” Paula explains. “yeah maybe,” Antonio agrees.
“hey if it makes you feel better I’ll have word with him.” “I was hoping you would. We all need now and then someone to talk to and someone that understands us- in your case that’s Maria,” Paula interrupts. “and in Ricardo’s its you. You and Maria both understand him better then anyone else…”
**** walking into his beach house Ben looked around the place. “Meg!” he called out wondering his wife whereabouts. He found two cube boxes on the glass table with a note. He picked it up and read it. “Ben I had to rush to the sunset sisters, could you drop this to the mission for charity week, Meg.”
I suppose I could,” he thought to himself and decided on the way back he’ll see both the Maria’s. Wondering what Meg was going to give away Ben began to go through her things out of interest. There were a few old jewelleries and CD’s and some old special occasion cards. Picking them out he looked at them. They were probably the left over left from the thank you cards Meg had written for the wedding. although Maria went her way in putting a special touch to her thank you notes with a sketch of everyone she did that gave her present. But that’s Maria for you and only Maria would come up with something more.
He noticed two other cards blank on the front. Ben opens it up and it read “My darling love, being away from you this holiday weekend is more then I can bear. I can’t stand it when we’re apart even for a moment.” Ben was confused as he read it again.
“this looks like Maria’s hand writing,” Ben says to himself analysing the writing, as he a confused frown appeared on his face. What the hell is this doing with Megs old things? He questioned himself. He then looked at the second card and it read with the same hand writing, “I am just bursting with our secret dying to tell someone. But no one knows not even Annie.”
“what the hell?” Ben was more bombarded the even. This was too bizarre. What was this doing here with Meg things and what secret, Ben thought to himself. What secret was Maria keeping from everyone…
